Hello Everyone! ?
Lovely new Spring thread!?️?️???

What is your chocolate treat of choice??

FannyCornforth Thu 06-May-21 10:09:03

Omg! I hated PE with a passion, and more or less refused to do it!
I made such a nuisance of myself in PE lessons that in the end the PE teacher gave in and I did extra art instead!
Otherwise I was a model student!

What was your favourite school dinner?

Mollygo Thu 06-May-21 11:03:45

Climbing the ropes. It was the only thing I was good at, though my fear of heights was a bit of a drawback.

Would you drive further than your local supermarket to buy a food you like and what would it be?

Mollygo Thu 06-May-21 11:06:49

Oops, sorry FC I didn’t realise there was another page.
favourite school dinner -cheese pie. Bakewell tart.

How far would you drive to get a special food, and what would it be?

henetha Thu 06-May-21 11:16:19

Fish and chips at a favourite place in Torquay. About 15 miles from here.

Do you use any of those delivery services like Deliveroo etc?

FannyCornforth Thu 06-May-21 11:23:20

Molly don't worry! I do that aswell - it happened with the wedding question too
I loved school cheese pie too. I wonder what the recipe was...

No, I haven't used deliveroo, but I do have fish and chips delivered on occasion.

Which supermarket to you favour?

Shinamae Thu 06-May-21 11:28:08

Tesco and that’s really only because I don’t drive and it’s within a five minute walk of my house

Do you diet?

FannyCornforth Thu 06-May-21 11:38:42

Absolutely not!
I'm overweight, but it's because I buggered up my metabolism by being anorexic when I was younger.
I didn't 'diet' as such - I just didn't eat. I didn't even notice it really... mad.
I still only eat one meal a day.

Do you enjoy parties?

Puzzler61 Thu 06-May-21 11:40:41

No not really, but I keep an eye on my blood sugar level and weight and cut back when necessary (at least a couple of times a year like post Christmas and post holiday when I’ve indulged without really noticing ?).

Do you go to bed before midnight?

nanna8 Thu 06-May-21 11:41:24

Yes but not as much as I used to. Not so many these days and much more sedate ( and boring)

Are you a sweet tooth?

Puzzler61 Thu 06-May-21 11:42:04

X posts Fanny sorry

I enjoy smaller gatherings where you can chat with other party invitees, not so much big parties with loud music where comversation is difficult.

Do you go to bed before midnight?

Puzzler61 Thu 06-May-21 11:42:38

Ignore mine go with nanna8

Are you a sweet tooth?

DanniRae Thu 06-May-21 13:53:26

I don't have a sweet tooth - I would rather eat crisps.

Do you consider yourself to be a 'happy person'?

Kim19 Thu 06-May-21 13:59:26

I certainly do. And a fortunate one. I do work hard at concealing the few sadnesses I have.

Is your central heating switched off?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Thu 06-May-21 16:23:25

I switch it on when needed as the timer doesn't work - it thinks it's 6 o'clock all the time. It has been on for a couple of hours some evenings as it's still a bit nippy.

How far do you have to go to cast your vote?

Kim19 Thu 06-May-21 23:03:28

I did postal but I did see a long queue at our local town hall in the High Street. It was bitterly cold and suspect these conditions may have deterred some. Hope not.

Are you having much success with seed sowing this year?

Shinamae Thu 06-May-21 23:12:18

Do what? ?

FannyCornforth Fri 07-May-21 01:04:37

San Pellegrino blood orange ? yum!

Do you have a skincare routine?
If so, which products do you use?

hollysteers Fri 07-May-21 01:28:13

No seed sowing Kim.
Only skincare routine is Ponds cold cream, really love it, not only for removing makeup, but moisturising.

Did you or do you get on with your mother in law/in-laws?

BBbevan Fri 07-May-21 05:10:38

My MiL was lovely. A really nice gentle woman. I have many fond memories of her

.

What is your favourite bread?

FannyCornforth Fri 07-May-21 06:26:40

Co-op irresistible cheddar and jalapeno bloomer or the coop sourdough. They do they nicest bread.

What is your star sign?
Do you have the typical traits of said star sign?

Mollygo Fri 07-May-21 06:31:17

Yes, once I’d got used to her wanting to do housework every time she visited (and I’d already done extra because she was coming). She was lovely with the children too and would say, “Send them to me and have a little time for yourself.” I really missed her.

Do you/would you go on holiday with your other family members?

DanniRae Fri 07-May-21 07:31:27

Yes - One of the best holidays I ever had was in a beautiful villa on a Greek Island with my own family and our sister-in-law and her family. Wish we were there now!!

Where do you wish you were now?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Fri 07-May-21 08:50:41

I suppose I am exactly where I wish to be which is comfortably at home - not very adventurous but never mind. Going places isn't the same as a widow. To answer a forgotten question about star signs - yes I'm a typical Capricorn but not too interested in status symbols.

How do you like your tea or coffee?

Shinamae Fri 07-May-21 09:24:56

I like both tea and coffee very weak no sugar

Are you surprised by the election results?

FannyCornforth Fri 07-May-21 09:41:01

Yes. I'm surprised and disappointed that Labour have done so poorly.
But I haven't been as interested in this election as I usually am; so I think that this may have been the case for many people.

What is your star sign?
Do you have the typical traits of that sign?
