On another thread, (about hijacking threads, if you want to find it) this was suggested as a potential thread title - each post to have nothing whatever to do with the previous one I though that a very good idea, but no-one seems to have taken it up and started one, so here goes. Not a conversation, no sequencing, totally non sequiturs.

Supermarket potatoes are sprouting faster than I can cook and eat them!

Sister showed me the video message she'd arranged from John Challis (as Boycie) to her son for his 40th which was very entertaining and made us smile.

Why is it that when you start tidying, one thing leads to another and you land in a worse mess than when you started ?

I am sitting in the garden listening to the sparrows giving it laldy. They are such cheerful wee birds.

DanniRae Thu 17-Jun-21 16:08:23

I have a shallow dish of water in my garden and the sparrows love to splash about in it. It makes my heart glad to see them!
They drink it too but I guess it's a sparrow thing to drink your bath water? smile

DanniRae Fri 18-Jun-21 14:42:40

DanniRae Fri 18-Jun-21 14:44:35

And please don't come on here to say that you don't like football and don't care who wins ........... Thank you!

Callistemon Fri 18-Jun-21 14:47:17

What can I do while DH is watching the football?

Puzzler61 Fri 18-Jun-21 14:57:19

Glad the football will happen whatever the weather tonight.
May the best team win ??????? ⚽️ ???????
Rain has prevented any play (tennis) at Queen’s Club and the TV presenters at Ascot Racing are getting rain blow into their covered makeshift studio. One chap was holding an umbrella to his back as he was getting a soaking.

Marmight Fri 18-Jun-21 19:08:38

It’s rained all day but the upside is my kitchen has had a much needed ‘spring’ clean and everything is in order. Annual event ?

M&S Cobb salad is nice. Not keen on the Ranch dressing though.

Ate out at Café Dolce today. Lovely food, super service and great attention to Covid safety measures.
