Hello Again!?
Third thread here - too early for a Summer Time Special; especially considering the current weather ?️☔

Okay, here goes:
Who is your favourite comedian, and your least favourite?

grannyrebel7 Fri 18-Jun-21 09:34:43

No can't say I've ever made jam or marmalade. I'm far too lazy!

Did you or do you have a favourite dog?

ninathenana Fri 18-Jun-21 09:53:13

I'm assuming you mean breed ?
Hard choice but I love golden retrievers.

What was the last film you watched via any media

henetha Fri 18-Jun-21 10:18:51

"One Chance" on Netflix 2 days ago. It's about Paul Potts the tenor.

Are you going to watch the England v Scotland football match this evening?

FannyCornforth Fri 18-Jun-21 12:21:40

I might do. Otherwise listen on the radio. Sometimes in bed by that time.

Do you support any teams, football or otherwise?

nanna8 Fri 18-Jun-21 12:48:11

St. Kilda AFL , that’s Australian Football League. Not madly and only in a half hearted sort of way but I’m pleased when they win ( rarely)and resigned when they lose ( usually )

Has this Covid business made you walk more often ?

biglouis Fri 18-Jun-21 12:53:43

No because I am disabled. I need transport door to door.

Do you ever order in from restaurants/Deliveroo etc?

We order in about once a month, usually a Chinese banquet.

FannyCornforth Fri 18-Jun-21 12:57:06

Yes. Fish and chips. Thinking about getting it this evening, now that it's cooled down!

What would you like from the chippy, it's on me!

Puzzler61 Fri 18-Jun-21 13:00:54

I’m not fussy but please may I have mine from Rick Stein’s in Padstow Fanny.
Rock salmon and chips please ?

Puzzler61 Fri 18-Jun-21 13:01:56

Would you like to learn a musical instrument?

FannyCornforth Fri 18-Jun-21 13:03:05

It's from Zan Fish in the village or nothing, Puzzler!

Puzzler61 Fri 18-Jun-21 13:03:54

???

NotAGran55 Fri 18-Jun-21 14:29:51

Puzzler I will send you some fish and chips from Rick’s on July 8th when I will be in Padstow .

I tried to learn the guitar as a teenager but was useless . I’m right handed but bizarrely pick up a guitar automatically as a left hander which doesn’t help!

Do you like blues music ??

lovebeigecardigans1955 Fri 18-Jun-21 14:35:49

I love blues type music, especially when it's sung by a wonderful baritone like David Coverdale, though he's more rock.

Do you have a favourite type of male or female voice?

Puzzler61 Fri 18-Jun-21 14:42:32

Fabulous NotAGran and thanks, you are much kinder to me than Fanny is today ?

I like a romantic, melodic voice like Johnny Matthis has.

Do you like watching rain run down a window pane?

biglouis Fri 18-Jun-21 16:36:47

Love it, but only when I dont have to go out in it! Similar love watching it snow. I love the TV ad where the little kitten watched the raindrops.

Did you ever learn to play a musical instrument?

Sadly I never got past 3 chords on a guitar.

BBbevan Fri 18-Jun-21 16:52:48

Sadly no. They didn’t teach music in my school and Idoubt my parents could have afforded private lessons.

Have you ever been wild swimming.? I would love to.

biglouis Sat 19-Jun-21 10:10:41

No, I never learned to swim

Do you ever have your groceries delivered?

Savvy Sat 19-Jun-21 10:16:12

All the time because I'm disabled and struggle to get around the shops as I use crutches.

Do you enjoy a good, well reasoned debate?

FannyCornforth Sat 19-Jun-21 10:18:24

Always. I've been to a physical supermarket only 3 times since February 2019

What are your three favourite food brands / the groceries that you 'couldnt live without'?

FannyCornforth Sat 19-Jun-21 10:19:10

Sorry Savvy, yes I do!
Question as above please

biglouis Sat 19-Jun-21 16:08:07

Im not a great foodie or "brand" person and I tend to go with the supermarkets own. However I dont like any beans except Heinz because the taste is different. I also prefer Walkers crisps. I also prefer genuine Pepsi and coke to cheap colas.

If there was no pandemic and you could go anywhere now what would be your preferred holiday destination?

Mollygo Sat 19-Jun-21 16:52:50

New Zealand. I’ve read so many books and seen so much on TV that I’d like to see more -and visit friends over there.

Which windows do you leave open all day in good weather?

BBbevan Sat 19-Jun-21 19:49:04

As many as I can ,plus the conservatory door.

Are you afraid of thunder and lightening ?

biglouis Sat 19-Jun-21 21:05:05

If the price came down and the infrastructure support network was better would you consider an electric car as your primary vehicle?

DanniRae Sun 20-Jun-21 08:27:44

My husband is the driver and he says NO!

What is the view from the window in the room you are sitting in?
(I am in London but all I can see are trees, bushes and a white rose bush which taps on the window if it is windy and makes me jump)
