Hello Again!?
Third thread here - too early for a Summer Time Special; especially considering the current weather ?️☔

Okay, here goes:
Who is your favourite comedian, and your least favourite?

ninathenana Wed 26-May-21 08:53:53

No, I never have nor did my mum or my nan.

Do you have a favourite item of clothing that you wear all the time. (Other than jeans)

Mollygo Wed 26-May-21 09:00:17

I used to make crab apple jelly when the children were home, but we wouldn’t eat enough now to make it worthwhile.

Do you think of hawthorn as ‘may’

Mollygo Wed 26-May-21 09:02:10

Sorry, didn’t realise there were 2 pages.

Use ninathenana’s question.
Do you have a favourite item of clothing that you wear all the time? (Other than jeans)

FannyCornforth Wed 26-May-21 09:07:11

I loathe jeans.
I always wear dresses in the summer and leggings and a long tunic in cooler months. Everything has to be cotton or viscose.

What is your favourite home fragrance, candles etc?

henetha Wed 26-May-21 09:42:38

I don't use candles much, but I like those stick diffuser things.
My favourite fragrance is vanilla.

Do you have too many clothes?

Grany Wed 26-May-21 09:48:47

Just have a few essential clothes don't need lots. Will get more summery clothes for the coming summer heatwave.

What book are you currently reading?

FannyCornforth Wed 26-May-21 09:50:46

I really like vanilla too
I've recently bought some perfume called Vanilla and Woods from M&S.
It's lovely

Yes - far too many clothes!

What is your favourite thing about Gransnet, and your least?

henetha Wed 26-May-21 10:04:12

My favourite things are the games threads. My least favourite thing is how easily some threads descend into unpleasantness.

Sorry, I think I have ignored Grany. I just finished reading Eleanor Oliphant which I loved.

Do you do less cooking in the summer months?

Mollygo Wed 26-May-21 10:04:16

Most favourite-I can get advice or reassurance and sometimes unexpected information, and exercise my poetic (or not) talents on those threads.
Least-being lectured at with long passages I can copy from the Internet and the ‘playground rules’ aspect of some of the posts.

Have you rated dried insects?

Mollygo Wed 26-May-21 10:04:54

Have you ever eaten dried insects! ???auto!correct

FannyCornforth Wed 26-May-21 10:16:13

No! I wouldn't want to either.

If you had the chance to study, for example at higher education level, what would you choose to study?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Wed 26-May-21 12:26:42

To get back to henetha I eat more salads in summer rather than cooking hot food but I can't say that I love them.

If I could study a subject I think it would be history of art.

Which do you prefer - words or numbers?

FannyCornforth Wed 26-May-21 12:42:48

Ooh, that's what I did love!
Definitely words. I think that I've got dyscalcula

If you were getting married - describe your ideal outfit!

BBbevan Wed 26-May-21 16:49:08

Steel grey silk ,empire line shift. Perhaps a silver clasp in my hair. Kitten heel shoes and a bunch of white hellebores.

How many bridesmaids did you have , if you got married ?

Mollygo Wed 26-May-21 18:39:56

2 bridesmaids and a page in a kilt.

Clawdy Wed 26-May-21 21:35:18

Lamb Tikka Masala.
What first name do you wish you'd been called?

nadateturbe Thu 27-May-21 02:41:04

When I was young I wanted to be called Diane, but I'm quite happy with the name I have.

What was the naughtiest thing you did as a child?

BBbevan Thu 27-May-21 05:07:32

Ate a packet of dried apricots and blamed it on my sister

Do you practise mindfulness?

Nansnet Thu 27-May-21 07:31:22

I did join a month-long challenge a while ago, with a nutritionist, to get my eating habits on track, and she also encouraged us, not just to be aware of what we were eating, but also to practise mindfulness, and to be aware of how we were feeling, and to write our feelings down. It did help me to be more aware of my feelings, and why I would choose to do things a certain way. And there was usually a pattern to having good days, or bad days. I'm afraid I didn't continue with the 'mindfulness' approach after the month ended.hmm

Do you take any supplements to help with your health, and if so what?

nanna8 Thu 27-May-21 07:35:53

No,I think they are a rip off and untested. Not necessary unless you live on junk food.

Do you regularly attend large sporting events like football when allowed?

DanniRae Thu 27-May-21 07:50:40

No because I am not happy in large crowds.

If you could change anything about yourself what would it be?

FannyCornforth Thu 27-May-21 09:19:48

Motivation, motivation, motivation

What is your favourite thing about yourself?

henetha Thu 27-May-21 10:11:13

My finger nails. They grow well and are a nice shape.

What is the last big decision you made? If you could go back, would you make the same decision?

BBbevan Thu 27-May-21 14:36:11

To move fron north of London to SW Wales. Best thing we ever did.

Do you save any special coins e.g. £2 ?

hollysteers Thu 27-May-21 15:17:49

No.
