Hello Again!?
Third thread here - too early for a Summer Time Special; especially considering the current weather ?️☔

Okay, here goes:
Who is your favourite comedian, and your least favourite?

FannyCornforth Tue 24-Aug-21 12:04:34

LBC, with Radio 4 a close second. I listen to the radio all the time. Either that or an audiobook

Favourite radio show or presenter?

DanniRae Tue 24-Aug-21 12:10:31

"Magic"
I love listening to Ronan Keating and Harriet Scott (Magic) when I get up in the morning. They always sound like they are having such a good time grin

DanniRae Tue 24-Aug-21 12:11:37

Who is your favourite radio dj?

biglouis Tue 24-Aug-21 14:51:14

Justin Moorhouse and Stacey Copeland

If you had to choose one of the following which would it be?

#1 fabulous wealth
#2 great power
#3 worldwide fame

biglouis Tue 24-Aug-21 14:51:53

I would take the cash! Power means responsibility and fame is a PITA.

FannyCornforth Wed 25-Aug-21 05:10:17

Yes, I’d take the money too, definitely! I’d hate to be famous, and I might like a certain degree of power - but I’d delegate!

If you had ‘great power’. which 3 Laws would you Decree?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Wed 25-Aug-21 12:01:19

I'd like to put an end to cruelty, poverty and war.

Are you creative?

crazyH Wed 25-Aug-21 14:33:22

In school , I won a prize for best ‘essay’…..you could call it ‘creative’, though I can’t remember what it was about. I can remember the prize, an envelope containing the equivalent of 50p.

How many cups of tea do you drink in a day?

hollysteers Wed 25-Aug-21 15:07:10

About 3, like it strong with manuka honey. Vary it with Earl Grey.

Would you say you are naturally maternal?

grandMattie Wed 25-Aug-21 16:09:25

Extremely! But not possessive…

Do you dye/have you dyed your hair?

crazyH Wed 25-Aug-21 16:14:36

Yes, I dye my hair dark brown.

Do you use a manicurist/pedicurist ? If so, how often?

NotAGran55 Wed 25-Aug-21 16:33:40

No , never as I do my own nails .
Pedicure when my football team are playing ‘away’ and I do it whilst listening to the match on the radio . Same for manicure, but extra changes of finger nail polish in between .

Do you tint your eyebrows and /or lashes? Or go to a salon ?

biglouis Wed 25-Aug-21 16:55:08

No tints of salon visits. Ive never done anything like that.

What charities do you regularly donate to?

I donate to St Dunstans (which helps disabled service vets and their families) . I dont think we value our military enough in this country. I also donate to a couple of small local charities for animals.

I am a bit cynical of big powerful charities and of where my money is going.

BBbevan Wed 25-Aug-21 18:02:30

I don’t . My charity begins at home.

Which is your favourite News program?

FannyCornforth Wed 25-Aug-21 18:52:49

I like Question Time on the TV, and Any Questions / Any Answers on the radio.
I also like Today in Parliament and the Today program

Who is your ideal man? You are welcome to go into detail!

BBbevan Wed 25-Aug-21 19:16:12

Kenneth m Christensen

And yours?

biglouis Thu 26-Aug-21 11:25:59

In terms of looks alone? Orlando Bloom

Do you ever binge on TV/stream service box sets?

I have been watching the Tudors and the Handmaid's Tale again.

hollysteers Thu 26-Aug-21 12:59:25

I binged on Shtisel and hope there is another series.

Do you ever sleep in rollers? (I have longish hair and sometimes put a few in the ends)

Mollygo Thu 26-Aug-21 15:19:40

I used to sleep in a full head of rollers in my teens. I can’t imagine how I did it now.

Do you always measure carefully before ordering anything.
I ordered a new house for my tortoise thinking that, as it was advertised for a tortoise, the doorway would be wide enough. He’s going to struggle to get in and dieting won’t help!

lovebeigecardigans1955 Thu 26-Aug-21 16:53:33

Yes, I measure carefully but still get it wrong. My shed is too small but much too late to whinge about it now.

Do you still enjoy a traditional roast dinner or have you changed to lighter fare?

Scones Thu 26-Aug-21 16:57:20

This morning felt autumnal here and for the first time in months I fancied a roast dinner.

What is the best improvement you've made to your home?

crazyH Thu 26-Aug-21 16:59:26

Oh I love a traditional roast dinner, but haven’t had one for a long time. I live on my own, so I just can’t do a roast for one. Last Sunday, I was seriously thinking of ordering one from the local restaurant. My children don’t seem to do roasts that often.

Do you prefer roast beef, lamb or chicken? Or a nut roast?

crazyH Thu 26-Aug-21 17:01:05

I’m answering Scones question..

Best improvement : my en-suite

BBbevan Thu 26-Aug-21 17:12:40

Welsh lamb The best

Do you have traditional accompaniments to a roast dinner, or Yorkshire pudding whatever.?

hollysteers Thu 26-Aug-21 18:03:33

Yes if I go out and family, but cooking for myself, no.

Do you read self-help books? (I’ve had a few)
