Hello again and Merry Christmas Questioners and Answerers!?

Not ‘what is the best present that you have received?’, instead;

What is the best present that you have given?
Are you a good gifter?

(I’m going to have to think about it, but I do think that I’m rather good at choosing presents)

New Year's Eve when everyone would come out and in the neighbourhood to welcome in the new year. It hasn't happened for a long time now.

Do you do anything for Valentine's Day?

nanna8 Mon 07-Feb-22 08:20:41

No, never have. When I was really young I used to get anonymous cards from boys and that was about all.

Other than diamonds, what precious stone would you choose for a ring?

henetha Mon 07-Feb-22 10:02:53

I like rubies. Sapphire is lovely but not if it's too dark.
And I like Tanzanite, a brilliant blue. Wish I could afford one.

What is a nice name for a cat? Something a bit unusual.

FannyCornforth Mon 07-Feb-22 10:08:28

My cats have been Stanley and Maisy, and now Rosie (full name Florence-Rose, coincidentally David Cameron’s daughter’s name)
So not unusual at all.
I’m always thinking of good names for pets - but can’t think of any at all now!
When I remember I’ll get back to you!

Same question. Thoughts on names for pets please

FannyCornforth Mon 07-Feb-22 10:09:37

henetha look at The Jewellery Channel ( it’s online - Google TJC)
They have lots of bargains

henetha Mon 07-Feb-22 10:13:07

Oh ! Thank you FannyCornforth I've never looked at that one. I sometimes watch QVC,, but that's all. I will take a look.
I like your cat's names... especially Rosie. My brother had a dog called Rosie.

FannyCornforth Mon 07-Feb-22 10:14:31

This is one carat and platinum plated. It’s £79.99!smile

henetha Mon 07-Feb-22 10:17:35

That is absolutely beautiful! I've stopped spending money for the time being until we find out what fuel price hikes are awaiting us in April, but I could make an exception!
Thank you Fanny

FannyCornforth Mon 07-Feb-22 10:19:22

I really like this one, it’s £299

hollysteers Mon 07-Feb-22 10:20:24

My semi detached (agreed with neighbour) cat is called Blossom and her twin is Bliss, pretty names.

Do you have a tidy garage?

FannyCornforth Mon 07-Feb-22 10:21:26

Yes, definitely spoil yourself henetha
And the wonderful thing about rings is that you can admire them yourself. I get lots of pleasure from my rings and bracelets

FannyCornforth Mon 07-Feb-22 10:22:54

I had a rabbit called Blossom!
But I don’t have a garage, I really wish I did. I would fill it with the stuff that is cluttering up the house!

What is your favourite thing to have on toast?

henetha Mon 07-Feb-22 10:26:54

I'm going on TJC as soon as I finish on GN. I do love jewellery. I cheers us up, doesn't it Fanny. In fact I broke my non-spending rule last Friday and bought a pretty pink bead necklace in a charity shop for £2.

AGAA4 Mon 07-Feb-22 10:42:36

I like those rings!
My favourite thing on toast is cheese and apple.

What is the best and worst thing about today?

nanna8 Mon 07-Feb-22 11:02:19

Best is that someone I had had a disagreement with rang and we parted friends. Worst is I didn’t go for a healthy walk and I ate too much.

What is your favourite sort of cheese?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Mon 07-Feb-22 12:30:48

I love Wensleydale and Port Salut, don't find blue cheese very appealing.

What's your favourite way to eat cheese?

BBbevan Mon 07-Feb-22 14:08:27

Just a lump on its own.
We had a cat called Bronwen

Does your car have a name? Ours is Cyril

Mollygo Mon 07-Feb-22 14:23:48

I once had a car called Cleo. No prizes for guessing why, regardless of the spelling. Every car since has been called Blessing because that’s what they are.

My dog has discovered that she can open bag zips by butting them repeatedly. Does your pet have a crafty habit?

AGAA4 Mon 07-Feb-22 16:47:47

I don't have a dog but my friends Labrador found a way of opening the doors so he couldn't be confined to one room when she needed him to be.

Have you ever had a budgie?

FannyCornforth Tue 08-Feb-22 06:29:51

No, just the owls! ? (Blodwyn, Dodo and Reg)
I remember my Great Nan had a cockatiel called Beauty.

Bronwen is a lovely name for a cat.

Re clever dogs: my uncle had a dog (Boy) who would catch the bus to meet uncle outside the factory where he worked at the end of the day.
All the workers knew Boy.

Who is your favourite fictional detective? ?️‍♀️

FannyCornforth Tue 08-Feb-22 06:40:11

AGA how do you do your cheese and apple on toast?

nanna8 Tue 08-Feb-22 07:29:23

I like Frost, funny man and David Jason plays him so well.

Do you have a particular tv show that you watch all the time ?
I watch Bargain Hunt most weekday nights, just habit really.

AGAA4 Tue 08-Feb-22 08:16:35

For Fanny. I lightly toast a piece of bread then put thinly sliced apple on top then a layer of cheese. It goes under a medium grill till the cheese is bubbling and the apple had softened.

Nanna8 I like Homes under the Hammer.

AGAA4 Tue 08-Feb-22 08:17:55

*butter goes on the toast before the apple.

AGAA4 Tue 08-Feb-22 08:18:58

Sorry my question.
What is your favourite snack?
