Less patient with some things certainly. It drives me mad when people park their shopping trolleys in an aisle and have a conversation. Some, if you say excuse me, apologise and move. Others give me the evil eye and carry on talking. In general though, if I’m not in a desperate hurry for something that I’m probably more patient than I was.

If you saw somebody being attacked would you butt in?

I collect pop up books and toy theatres.

Do you find you are getting less patient as you age?

I’ve never known as much about politics as I do now.
It’s grimly fascinating, but I find myself having to have a break from it every so often. I probably listen to LBC far too much.

Did you collect anything when you were a child? Or now?

Yes. It is interesting but can make me angry at times.

Do you take much of an interest in politics?

Not at school, but I once went to the cinema with a boyfriend to see ‘Gone with the wind’. We should have been in a life drawing class.

Do you watch PMQ?

Blimey, I'm a right slattern by comparison as I only change my nightwear once a week.

Did you ever play truant from school and if so why? Was it driven by fear of a particular teacher or subject?

Yes - I always have flowers in my entrance hall, under a picture of Jesus…..I change them every 2 weeks. They are still sort of ok, so I take them to the lounge. If I could afford it, I’d fill my house with fresh flowers every week.

How often do you change your pyjamas/nightie ? Me, every 2 days

I used to always have flowers but since lockdown I haven't bought any. Must get some.
I love all the spring flowers, roses in summer and chrysanthemums in autumn.

Yes, definitely. I’ve got some daffodils coming today from Ocado, and I’m really looking forward to putting them in my new hare jug.

No. I avoid violence in any guise. I don’t get much grittier than Agatha Christie!

What is your go to outfit?
Mine is a floppy dress, leggings, cardigan and ugg boots.

Always-or sometimes listen instead. It’s a great help with insomnia and much more restful than getting up and doing the ironing or forward planning which is what I used to do.

On the same topic do you read creepy or violent stories at night? I can guarantee that if I do what I read will be repeated in a nightmare.

I find it a bit stressful if I am given an 8 - 1 slot for instance. Much better if I know which hour they will arrive.

Do you read in bed?

I dont sleep much at night (arthritis) so I have a 2/3 hour nap late afternoon to get me through. One of the great things about being retired is that you can make your own "timetable".

Do you find it stressful waiting around for parcels/deliveries?

I find having a tracking number and a ring type doorbell helps. Some of the companies give you a 1 hour slot or open an onscreen map to show where the driver is on their route. But I dont really relax until the postie or courier has been and the package safely delivered. Im expecting a "special delivery" today but at least I know it will (probably) be here by 1pm.

Since we live by the sea give to the RNLI and Air Ambulance.

For all those awake this early, do you need a nap to get through the day?. I often have 20mins or so after lunch.

Ocado. They deliver in bags, sell almost everything and sell M&S food (even though it is nowhere near as good as it used to be)
I also like their ‘You Give, We Give’ scheme which donates to foodbanks which is a convenient way for me to contribute.

Do you regularly give to charity?
I have three very small standing orders for the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust, Oxfam and Save the Children.
I keep meaning to cancel the latter two and chose different charities instead

I used to but not much now.

I used to love entertaining and having people to stay over for a few days. This evening, a friend is coming over to stay for a night or two and I’m stressed out - doing the bed, planning what to cook etc etc. Do you entertain a lot, or have people to stay ?

Yes, 2 Mediterranean and 1 Baltic. Love a Cruise…the ability to see different places at one go, no set times for meals, movies if you want, games and exercise rooms. What’s not to like ? Sadly, my travel companions, for various reasons are not able to join me. And I don’t want to go on my own, although I have met people who were travelling alone. Let’s see what happens in a year’s time ……

I did several times when I was in my 20s. I rocked up at one party where I was not specifically invited and at another where I was most definitely excluded. Just for the hell of it. Nowadays I would not go to a party if you paid me!

I’m not a crafty person, but I once painted the wide frame of an old mirror with enamel paints.

DH loves Frost too. Have you ever read the books? Frost isn’t such a likeable character.

Four in a Bed, although I’ve seen them all at least twice now, and the recent ones don’t seem as good.
