Hello again and Merry Christmas Questioners and Answerers!?

Not ‘what is the best present that you have received?’, instead;

What is the best present that you have given?
Are you a good gifter?

(I’m going to have to think about it, but I do think that I’m rather good at choosing presents)

crazyH Fri 18-Feb-22 13:07:51

Rain, hate rain except at night - it lulls me to sleep

What is the one item you would hate to run out of (food wise)..mine would be rice.

ginny Fri 18-Feb-22 13:15:55

Anything under 15 c and drizzle

Did you have to miss anything today due to the high winds ?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Fri 18-Feb-22 13:21:52

I would hate to run out of tea crazyH though it's not really a food as such.

I'm missing my visit to my sister due to the high winds. Amber zone here so just a bit scary.

What's the worst decision you've ever made?

FannyCornforth Fri 18-Feb-22 13:29:53

Very hot and sunny. I absolutely loathe it. It makes me physically ill

Do you like pyjamas? (I’m really struggling with my questions recently!)

FannyCornforth Fri 18-Feb-22 13:31:24

I’m also struggling with my answers too! Somehow I’ve missed a load of postsblush

BBbevan Fri 18-Feb-22 14:36:49

No not keen on pjs ……too hot..

Any damage Mrs Cabbage.? We have had power cut ( not an outage). and the tree fella’s are in next door, clearing our drives

AGAA4 Fri 18-Feb-22 16:19:43

No damage as far as I can tell but the huge tree opposite looks a bit the worse for wear.

To lovebeigecardigans I
can't think of a really bad decision as things usually turn out ok.

Would you rescue an animal if it fell in deep water?

biglouis Fri 18-Feb-22 17:01:23

No because I can't swim. I would try hooking it out with a branch or something if possible.

Have you done anything to prepare for the storm?

I charged my mobiles and devices, charged up a power bank (one of those little ones you take camping) and made sure I had candles and matches handy. Made sure nothing in the garden could take flight. We are in Manchester so just on the edges but its pretty windy.

Mollygo Fri 18-Feb-22 17:44:28

Charged devices and power banks. Looked out candles and matches and the landline that’s nothing to do with our TV package.
Fastened garden stuff down. We replaced fence panels on the last storm.
Finally crossed fingers????

Mollygo Fri 18-Feb-22 17:46:38

My sister says her greenhouse has decamped into her next door neighbour’s garden. Did you lose anything last storm/this storm?

biglouis Sat 19-Feb-22 10:11:20

Not lost anything but a few random things have blown around the garden and one of the bins fell over.

How often (if ever) do you have food sent in?

We have a deliveroo once a month - usually Chinese or Thai.

AGAA4 Sat 19-Feb-22 10:24:37

As I live in the back of beyond I don't think anyone would deliver here so I never have a hot food delivery.

Are you concerned about the situation with Russia?

BBbevan Sat 19-Feb-22 10:42:24

Yes. I really hope it is just posturing.

Got up this morning and put make up on and reasonable clothes. I’m not going anywhere but feel quite good. Anyone else do that ?

Mollygo Sat 19-Feb-22 11:23:21

Yes, it makes me feel good too. Not going anywhere till later on as it’s snowing heavily!

Do you still have wellies? My last pair had froggie eyes on the toes. I wonder if I should still wear them.

henetha Sat 19-Feb-22 11:30:27

Yes, I have wellies in case of snow or floods, etc. But I haven't worn them for ages now.
Your froggie eyes ones sound great. Wear them with a smile!

Do you start anticipating spring yet? What clothes you might buy, or what plants for the garden?

AGAA4 Sat 19-Feb-22 13:58:24

It feels as though spring is a long way off just now as it has been snowing here and is very cold.

Is there anywhere you would like to go this summer?

BBbevan Sat 19-Feb-22 20:49:14

Not really, but a nice long hot summer here might be good for everyone.

Have you tried oat milk yet.? It's really quite nice

lovebeigecardigans1955 Sun 20-Feb-22 10:00:39

No, I've tried almond milk but it was nothing special.

To AGA4 yes, I'd try to rescue an animal who was in a troubling situation in water as I love animals.

For those who still have records/CDs and the like, put your hand in the middle of your collection, which title have you pulled out?

Mine is Cry Tough by Nils Lofgren.

henetha Sun 20-Feb-22 12:08:03

Just done that with my CD's in the kitchen - genuinely.
And it's Andrea Bocelli's album called 'Si'. It's lovely.

Do you like,- or get the chance to, -walk in real countryside?
I'm lucky to live near Dartmoor. Are you near one of the national parks, or a lovely country or coastal area for walking?

Mollygo Sun 20-Feb-22 12:34:50

Yes, along the estuary, along the beach, across to the island when the tide is right, or up into the hills. I felt so lucky during lockdown.

Do you ever watch Nothing to Declare, or other customs programs?

AGAA4 Sun 20-Feb-22 13:43:02

No but it sounds interesting.

Do you ever tell little white lies to save someone's feelings or are you completely honest?

hollysteers Sun 20-Feb-22 14:44:22

Yes, I have and would if it means not hurting someone’s feelings or health worries.

Which would you choose out of these three:-
Cottage
Georgian town house
Contemporary house

biglouis Mon 21-Feb-22 01:36:36

A Georgian town house. Love those big square rooms and high cielings.

How do you feel about eating out on your own? Do you ever do it?

It used to bother me when I was a very young woman (16-18) but as I worked in a city I soon got used to it. I have never felt uncomefortable once I realised that everyone is too busy with their own affairs to worry about me and why I am alone.

henetha Mon 21-Feb-22 11:11:38

I've got used to to it over the years, having no choice quite often. Playing games on your mobile phone while you wait to be served is a good distraction and no-one takes any notice.

Have you got lots of shoes? Or handbags? Do you collect these things?

AGAA4 Mon 21-Feb-22 14:38:35

I have too many of both. Some of my shoes have never been worn and will go to a charity shop.

Do you eat meat or are you vegetarian or vegan?
