I had a ‘big birthday’ a week ago today.
Apart from my virtual big bash at Tarn Castle I did diddly squat for it.
I’m hoping to celebrate properly later in the year with a more than well earned trip to Northumberland. When DH’s breathing is better, and I’ve had my hip replacement.???

Do you wear hats? I love hats and I think that they suit me, but they make me too hot
Also, do you feel the cold? I don’t

No apart from special birthdays where we all get together.

What would you like to do for your next 'big' birthday?

No we are Welsh so I don’t really know what you do. Other than eat Haggis and recite Burns.?

Do you celebrate anything other than Christmas or Easter.?

Fresh white rolls and butter. My mother said fresh bread is nicer than cake and I agree with her.

Are you doing anything for Burns Night?

Yes, kidneys. Can't bear the thought of it. Also not keen on prawn curry although I love both separately. Fish and curry don't go, in my humble opinion.

Do you prefer white or brown bread? Toastie bread, or a Danish, or bread rolls?

Not allowed any of those as reversed diabetic. But mashed potato if pushed.

Is there anything you cannot eat?

Yes, I love cheese. All types really. I like gooey things like Brie and Camembert; Saint Agur; Edam; smoked Austrian; lovely nutty gruyere… mmm…

Stinking Bishop ( bought from Chatsworth farm shop ) was a cheese too far though; it even stank the car out.
I tried a teeny tiny bit and threw it away. It was vile, a bit like wee!

Potatoes; Rice or Pasta?
If you could eat only one for the rest of your life?

No never. But now you make me think of it I have a Danish pastry in the larder!!!

DH eats a lot of cheese. Are you partial and if so what is your favourite?

What is your favourite TV series of all time?

Always buy the Sunday papers, though we have to drive some way to get them. No delivery around here.

I've had Wiggy for years now. She's about 13.

Do you still buy magazines/newspapers, or do you prefer to read them online now?

No they are both really quiet.

Have you always had a dog,cat or some kind of pet?

I was very lazy yesterday but have forced myself to go out and also to clean the bathroom. It was a bit of an effort.

Do you have noisy neighbours?

No - I always have one in my handbag and my handbag is always by my sofa.

Does this type of weather make you lethargic? I have done nothing this morning except have a cup of tea with a visiting neighbour.

I wear flip flops and wooly socks

Do you always have to search when you want a pen or pencil?

For that reason I tend to keep one handy in every room.

Yes, which is just as well as I spend a lot of time alone.

Do you feel you put up with a lot of everyday niggles? What's niggling you today?

Not really worried but I am impatient. I sent one of my books to a publisher nearly six months ago so should be hearing from them soon. Probably a rejection but I hate the wait. It makes me cross with everyone.

Are you happy with your own company?

Im worried about rising gas prices as I have arthritis and have to keep warm.

Have you ever sold or given away anything on freecycle of similar? I hear a lot of bad tales about people messing about and not coming when they have promised.

Not a phobia, but I’ve got Generalized Anxiety Disorder which means I worry all of time
