Yes, watches are a weakness of mine. I love them and am never without one. I was given a watch for my tenth birthday and have worn one ever since. I like colouful, modern ones these days, nothing valuable.

Are your ears pierced? Do you wear earrings all the time?

I started wearing glasses aged 24.
I only wear them when I leave the house (ie never these days!)
However, I’ve started wearing reading glasses this year.
I love glasses, I would never try contact lenses

Do you wear a watch every day?
I don’t now, despite having quite a few.
Do you have a favourite?
I have a lovely Vivienne Westwood one, which was an absolute bargain at about £40

Never fancied sailing, even though I live on the coast and grew up in a big port.

If you have worn glasses since you were a child, has it bothered you?
(I have, hate them and fiddle about with contacts for lots of occasions)

I’d love to try sailing, the wind in my hair, the scent of the ocean in my nostrils as we sail off into the blue and tack back to the shore. My son in law did invite me, but I thought, with my luck, the wind will drop once we get out there!

Yes just once. My friend fell over and someone skated over her hand. Dreadful mess. Though she was fine in a few weeks and no lasting problems.

How about sailing. Anyone into that?

I once dressed as a Tudor lady for a party. The skirt on my dress was so wide I couldn't manouvre my through the tables. I would try something a bit less full next time.

Have you ever been ice skating?

I have three and I would have loved to have at least one more. Had to be practical though and I appreciate how lucky I am to have them.

Mine was a 20s themed Murder mystery for DD2.

Definitely the 60s. With DH but not yet married and carefree.

Would you have liked more or less children?

Before lockdown I had acrylic nails, not that I really wanted them, but they stop me picking my fingers, a nervous habit which goes too far. Now I just do them myself.

Which decade of your life would you relive?

I was given a Mahonia for Christmas. It's still in the pot, but I should plant it out soon, I think. Also my sister sent me a pretty pot full of winter hardy plants (via M&S. Am I allowed to say that?).

Do yo manicure your own nails or have it done professionally? Do you wear nail varnish, or artificial nails?

Yes I think so although I have not done it often.

Have you planted anything in pots or the garden, yet, this year.?

Temperate weather. Not too hot as I find heat exasperating nor too cold as that is miserable.

Can you shuffle a pack of playing cards with anything approaching elegance or grace? I can't.

Lovely sunshine here for my shopping trip earlier. I prefer cold sunny days to mild wet ones.

What sort of weather suits you best?

I think it's perfectly possible that there is some sort of life form on other planets. Whether it's life as we know it... I don't know.
Yes, there is a house in Torquay that I wish we had bought.
I can't imagine what made us choose a different house at the time, but I ended up hating it and longing for the other one.

Bbbevan my Nan and Grandad had an outside toilet. They had a line of three little outbuildings - a coal house, a toilet and a lovely little kitchen / potting shed thing. I loved playing in it.
The toilet however always had those big harvest man spiders in there

It is a huge regret that I didn’t buy that house when I had the chance.

Sorry to put a downer on it, but I hate anything to do with swimming pools due to a horrible experience with a swimming teacher when I was little.
But- I can’t understand why anyone would have a problem with warmer water

Both my Grans had outside toilets. I loved them, cold, clean and whitewashed. DH thinks that odd. Would you agree?

No, I’ll be at work, but I’m sure it will be repeated ad nauseam on the 6 o’clock news, the 10 o’clock news, sky news, BBC news, oh and on GN.

A lady at the gym yesterday was complaining that the swimming pool was too warm. It wasn’t warm it just wasn’t as cold as usual.
Would you enjoy swimming in slightly warmer water?

Holly my maternal Nan died only last year, less than twelve months ago.
I think about her every day, so I can’t think of one particular thing, as loads of things remind me of her.
I didn’t know my paternal Nan that well, but she was a lovely gentle lady. I’ve just thought of something- giving my little dog (Gracie’s predecessor , Lily) tea in a saucer ! And crochet, I keep meaning to learn to crochet in her honour.
