Hello again and Merry Christmas Questioners and Answerers!?

Not ‘what is the best present that you have received?’, instead;

What is the best present that you have given?
Are you a good gifter?

(I’m going to have to think about it, but I do think that I’m rather good at choosing presents)

AGAA4 Wed 05-Jan-22 16:31:04

I don't eat much red meat I prefer chicken and fish.

Do you shop online or in stores?

BBbevan Wed 05-Jan-22 15:31:26

Yes because my everyday china is always white. I have all white towels and bed linen too. Saves faffing around.

Are you trying to limit your red meat consumption.?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Wed 05-Jan-22 14:59:26

No, I love quizzes but I participate on TV ones from the safety of the sofa.

Does your everyday china match?

hollysteers Wed 05-Jan-22 14:14:11

Oh yes, I love coaches. I think it stems from being put on a bus by myself as a child in the north and spending weeks with my godmother and aunt in the countryside in the south,

Do you go to a pub quiz regularly?

AGAA4 Wed 05-Jan-22 11:47:30

I haven't melted anything but I did have an explosion of porridge once which coated every surface inside the microwave.

Do you or would you go on a long coach journey?

Nannan2 Wed 05-Jan-22 11:38:52

Oh, are we supposed to add something different? Then "have you ever melted something in microwave?" (I did this last night, was smoke filled house) ???

Nannan2 Wed 05-Jan-22 11:35:08

*elder son

Nannan2 Wed 05-Jan-22 11:34:40

Mollygo- yes im sad to lose the lights too.. i came down yesterday, to find elder had stripped tree of all but lights! We putting it away today though.?

Nannan2 Wed 05-Jan-22 11:32:21

BBbevan no, me neither- i do own rubber gloves, and an apron, but when it comes to it, its too much faff?

Nannan2 Wed 05-Jan-22 11:29:57

Isn't that the same? The best present you received and the best present you've been given?Aren't they same thing? If you were given it, then you took it- then you received it didn't you.????

BBbevan Wed 05-Jan-22 11:21:01

No, but then I don’t work now. Just been for a walk and wore my thermal vest and knickers. Plus other stuff !!

I have never worn an apron or used rubber gloves when doing housework. Do you?

Mollygo Wed 05-Jan-22 10:41:55

It’s the lights, FC, the lights. I just don’t want to lose the lights.
DGC took the tree down and packed away the baubles in return for a small fee.

It’s bright and sunny and incredibly cold today. Would you wear fleece lined tights for work?

FannyCornforth Wed 05-Jan-22 10:17:09

I do. With Pet Plan, who are the best, apparently

When did you take your Christmas decorations down?
The tree came down on the 1st (but is still in the kitchen, waiting to go outside- it’s very heavy)
But I’ve still got a reindeer and two twig trees in the front window

henetha Wed 05-Jan-22 10:06:25

Yes, I like snow, for a while. But not if it outstays it's welcome.

Do you have pet insurance?

DanniRae Wed 05-Jan-22 10:01:23

No snow here -South London

Do you like snow?
(I love the look of it but not going out in it!)

AGAA4 Wed 05-Jan-22 08:29:58

Yes but I haven't played for a while now.

Have you had snow? We had a snowfall last night.

Grandpajo Wed 05-Jan-22 06:00:00

No but I'll definitely look it up later?

Do you like playing scrabble?

FannyCornforth Wed 05-Jan-22 03:16:23

FloradoraNo. I’m not a big believer in banning harmless stuff

CrazyH ‘mind games’ to my, ahem, mind are psychological manipulation- is that what you meant?

Question: have you played ‘Wordle’?
I did for the first time yesterday! It’s great! smile
I got the word correct in 5 goes

Floradora9 Tue 04-Jan-22 21:23:07

do you agree silly games should be banned from this site ?

crazyH Tue 04-Jan-22 20:46:13

If it comes from someone I know well, I will definitely consider it as the truth, because the people I know will not repeat things they consider untrue.

What are ‘mind games’ and do you play them ? eg please …

Mollygo Tue 04-Jan-22 20:27:37

Yes, I worked in a pub in the evening and a newsagent’s during the day. The pub was more fun and some of the customers were charming.

Do you regard hearsay as the truth, even if it comes from someone you know?

BBbevan Tue 04-Jan-22 20:16:23

Volunteered at a local school after years of teaching. Most unfriendly. The head never once said thank you and absolutely no inquiry about how I was doing in lockdown. I was always asked to come in if an inspection was taking place though and introduced as ‘our wonderful volunteer’. Very strange . Never again

Did you have a Saturday job or a holiday job as a student?

Grandpajo Tue 04-Jan-22 18:13:53

We used to holiday alot in Bracklesham which was great in the summer especially West Wittering beach.

Have you ever volunteered and would you do it again if you could?

AGAA4 Tue 04-Jan-22 17:51:10

No. I wasn't referring to you BBevan. I am sorry that you thought that.
I was referring to those who want to disrupt the thread. This has happened before a while ago.
If people don't like a thread just stay off it. No need for silly remarks.

BBbevan Tue 04-Jan-22 17:45:03

I hope you don’t mean me AGAa4 I was just trying to do a lighthearted move on.
