Hello again and Merry Christmas Questioners and Answerers!?

Not ‘what is the best present that you have received?’, instead;

What is the best present that you have given?
Are you a good gifter?

(I’m going to have to think about it, but I do think that I’m rather good at choosing presents)

NotAGran55 Mon 03-Jan-22 07:21:35

Luosto Finland, inside the Arctic Circle and Phillip Island Australia.

UK is St Andrews and The Lizard.

Same question again please.

BBbevan Mon 03-Jan-22 06:22:10

Spring, seeing more of my lovely neighbours. Visiting family, perhaps a holiday and I would just love my two books I have written in lockdown to get published. ( not too hopeful there though)

How far north or indeed south have you travelled?

Ali08 Mon 03-Jan-22 05:35:43

We don't have any pets, but we are looking after our GDs moggy til they get a decent place to live.
As much as I like the mad thing, I'm also looking forward to having my home back! He's not bad, we just have a very small house and he's very attention seeking! Lol

What are you looking forward to this year?

biglouis Mon 03-Jan-22 02:09:23

I have some health problems which need sorting out and they probably involve at least a partial change of lifestyle.

Do you have any pets?

I dont have any at present but I used to keep tortoises and terrapins.

AGAA4 Sun 02-Jan-22 11:19:00

I always have enjoyed holidays in the UK so will continue to spend time here for now.

Will you change anything this year. I am hoping to redecorate and get fitter.

henetha Sun 02-Jan-22 11:06:04

Yes, I love beautiful scenery. I'm lucky that I live on the edge of Dartmoor and can be up by Haytor Rock in ten minutes.
I like the view looking down onto Widdicombe.
I'm very fond of many of the views in the highlands of Scotland. And Snowdonia.
Also, I think the best view ever is the one from Sorrento looking across at Naples with Vesuvius in the background.

Are you happy to have a holiday in the UK this year if you think it's too risky to go abroad?

Grandpajo Sun 02-Jan-22 05:35:15

Yes.Its Leo and would have preferred it as my first name.

Do you find stunning countryside views relaxing. If so where is your favourite go to view?

hollysteers Sun 02-Jan-22 01:36:47

Cultural city tours (if I could find the energy!)

Do you have a middle name and do you like it?

Aldom Sat 01-Jan-22 20:19:43

I want to have a substantial amount of decorating done in the house. I just need to find the motivation.
If you could choose a holiday of a lifetime, all expenses paid, what sort of holiday would you prefer.

Mollygo Sat 01-Jan-22 17:02:53

Yes I’m already looking out for snowdrops and the field full of daffodils near us. There’s a bush with small pink flowers in even in the middle of winter. I keep meaning to find out what it is.

Have you an achievable target for 2022, even if Covid is still rampant? I don’t mean a NY resolution, just a task you want to achieve. My target is to clear the garage.

BBbevan Sat 01-Jan-22 16:42:11

Yes quite tiring now. I remember when my mum was about 60 and my dad said “You girls should take over Christmas now.” I’m 77. !!!!!
Are you looking forward to spring.? There are catkins out in DDs lane .

AGAA4 Sat 01-Jan-22 16:25:14

Yes. I bought pigs in blankets shaped like candy canes for my GSs. They are still in the freezer.

Do you find Christmas tiring?

DanniRae Sat 01-Jan-22 12:03:59

Yes......We have all the unpopular chocolates left in the Celebration tin, a variety pack of biscuits, unopened, different cheeses, crackers, 2 opened tubes of Pringles (I am doing my best to finish the plain ones). None will go to waste as we will work our way through it all.....I expect even the Celebrations will, eventually, get eaten grin

Did you forget to serve anything that you had bought for meals at Christmas. For the second time - not including last year - we forgot to get out the prawns from the freezer for the teatime 'buffet'

henetha Sat 01-Jan-22 11:07:53

No, I've had enough of the celebrations now and want to get back to normal. So my decs will come down soon.

Have you got lots of left overs to eat?

BBbevan Sat 01-Jan-22 10:54:04

Quiet night in and no walk either in the lovely Welsh countryside. It’s grey and dismal again.

We have just finished taking down our cards and tree. Much as I love Christmas I like the house better today.
Do you like to keep your Christmas going as long as possible?

AGAA4 Sat 01-Jan-22 07:23:38

I like to start the year with a walk in the lovely Welsh countryside where I live.

Did you have a party or a quiet New Year's Eve?

biglouis Sat 01-Jan-22 02:19:02

No - I find them boring. I like spy thrillers, crime, historical and syfi.

What do you normally do on New Years Day?

I have a good lie in.

hollysteers Fri 31-Dec-21 22:24:46

No, after Christmas and the family here, I have had enough.
Just a nice salad for me tonight.

Do you like action films?
(Not me)

ginny Fri 31-Dec-21 16:18:44

At the moment my hair is a subtle pink. I’ve wanted to have it pink for a while. My hairdresser introduced me to a good shampoo that darkens each time you use it. If it gets too dark then just use an ordinary shampoo to lighten it.

Are you having a special meal today or tomorrow?
We have friends coming for smoked salmon, beef bourgunion and they are bringing dessert.

NotAGran55 Fri 31-Dec-21 16:11:52

My eyes are hazel.

What is your hair like ?
Mine is auburn, thick, wavy and collar length.

BBbevan Fri 31-Dec-21 15:43:20

We have missed two cruises we had booked. Would love to go on another but slightly wary at the moment.

What colour are your eyes? Mine are greyish blue.

ginny Fri 31-Dec-21 13:52:02

Not particularly, I’m a long summer day person.

Are you considering booking any sort of holiday for 2022 ?

We have a few touring sites booked in this country but would love to go further afield. Not confident enough for that yet though.

AGAA4 Fri 31-Dec-21 13:31:15

New Year's Eve too.

Do you like this time of year?

Mollygo Fri 31-Dec-21 12:48:24

Yes and yes, though I had to move from soprano to middle or even to alto. We had to cancel our Christmas concert because of Covid.

Do you do a special meal for New Year’s Day?

henetha Fri 31-Dec-21 11:43:02

Why do elephants all have grey trunks?
Because they all belong to the same swimming club.

Can you sing? Ever been in a choir?
