Hello again and Merry Christmas Questioners and Answerers!?

Not ‘what is the best present that you have received?’, instead;

What is the best present that you have given?
Are you a good gifter?

(I’m going to have to think about it, but I do think that I’m rather good at choosing presents)

NotAGran55 Fri 31-Dec-21 07:44:38

Why was 6 afraid of 7?

……..Because 7 8 9 ?

And another joke please ..

FannyCornforth Fri 31-Dec-21 02:46:40

Lady Rosie Cheese-Toastie of Morrison

Tell us a joke!

hollysteers Thu 30-Dec-21 22:52:51

Ferrero Rocher

What is your Royal name?
Lady, pet’s name, last thing you ate and (of) last place you shopped.
(Lady Blossom Stollen of McColls)

ginny Thu 30-Dec-21 18:56:15

Liver, just don’t like the texture.

Have you had any favourite chocolates over Christmas ?
My favourites have been salted caramel truffles.

hollysteers Thu 30-Dec-21 17:54:56

Sometimes. 22 is to go to bed before midnight?

Is there a meal/food you ate regularly as a child but never eat as a grown up?
(Roast hearts)

AGAA4 Thu 30-Dec-21 16:43:13

Gemini. I have some Gemini traits.

Do you make resolutions at New Year?

BBbevan Thu 30-Dec-21 16:13:35

Sagittarius and. Yes I am very typical.

What are you?

BBbevan Thu 30-Dec-21 16:12:12

Fanny I nearly fainted. But thank you made my day xxxxxx

FannyCornforth Thu 30-Dec-21 13:45:35

And the cat Rosie loves being out in all weathers. She is very odd and very lovely.

What star sign are you? Does it ‘suit you’?

FannyCornforth Thu 30-Dec-21 13:43:16

Ahh! What’s her name?
This is Gracie. Rain doesn’t bother her, I think that because she has a woolly coat (not duffle) it doesn’t soak through

Mollygo Thu 30-Dec-21 13:38:43

Yes, I was brought up Methodist, but the faith I was brought up in is not the faith I have now. Since my degree was in RE (and French) I learnt a lot about religions.

If you have a pet, does he/she like going out in the rain? Mine has been keener since we bought her a mack!

FannyCornforth Thu 30-Dec-21 12:14:39

Yes, I did go to Sunday School until I was ready to go to proper Church.
My Mom and Nan went to a Methodist Church. It bored me rigid and I hated it. I stopped going aged 12. It probably totally turned me off organised religion.

Are you religious; have a faith, etc?

FannyCornforth Thu 30-Dec-21 12:11:40

Here he is!
All suited and booted

BBbevan Thu 30-Dec-21 12:01:08

Oh God ! do I have to say.
Melvyn Bragg,
Bryan Ferry
And someone else !!!!

Did you go to Sunday School as a child ?

henetha Thu 30-Dec-21 11:00:37

Sandie Toksvig
The Queen
Dawn French

Three men you would invite to dinner

hollysteers Thu 30-Dec-21 10:47:23

Mine was aged 23 to Athens.

Three women you would invite to a dinner party?
(Maria Callas, Emily Bronte and Miriam Margoyles)

Ashcombe Thu 30-Dec-21 06:24:46

Crossed posts, FannyCornforth! I liked Emergency Ward 10.

Ashcombe Thu 30-Dec-21 06:22:54

Seaside resorts in Dorset or South Devon, which is where I live now! Sometimes we went to Northern Ireland to visit my Dad’s family.

When did you first have a foreign holiday? Mine was in 1965 when my parents booked us on to a coach tour of the Benelux countries.

FannyCornforth Thu 30-Dec-21 06:22:47

Weston Super Mare (Birmingham by the Sea); then Sidmouth; then Falmouth - I loved it there. I’d really like to go again, but I know that it just wouldn’t be the same. Always stayed in old fashioned small hotels. Orange juice starters, TV room, that sort of thing (a bit like Fawlty Towers, come to think of it!)

What TV did you enjoy when you were a child / teenager?
I remember watching The Cedar Tree with my mom when I went home for dinner from school.
When I was older I was a huge fan of Brookside.

BBbevan Thu 30-Dec-21 06:09:11

Yes we have a row of white birds on our balcony rail.

Where did you go on holiday as a child? We went in a caravan on the S Wales coast.

ginny Wed 29-Dec-21 22:19:16

I love the rides but can’t go on them. I can’t cope with being locked in by the safety bars.

Do you have outside Christmas lights ?

We have icicle lights across our garage and loops of lights on the fence and a small tree on the lawn.

Mollygo Wed 29-Dec-21 21:58:31

Do you like wild rides at theme parks?

Mollygo Wed 29-Dec-21 21:57:45

So much-especially if we can go to France. It’s been booked and deferred twice, so here’s hoping that this year I get to go on Dances with Robots at Futuroscope again!

Grandpajo Wed 29-Dec-21 15:42:27

It's ok.But my grandaughter is a bit bossy about where I place the bricks and I only play it with her.

Are you looking forward to the summer and what plans do you have?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Wed 29-Dec-21 14:27:07

That Covid would be OVER for good and we can get back to normal.

Do you like playing with Lego?
