Hello again and Merry Christmas Questioners and Answerers!?

Not ‘what is the best present that you have received?’, instead;

What is the best present that you have given?
Are you a good gifter?

(I’m going to have to think about it, but I do think that I’m rather good at choosing presents)

AGAA4 Fri 25-Mar-22 11:16:27

All my own but not as good as they used to be.

Do you enjoy picnics?

hollysteers Fri 25-Mar-22 10:47:34

Chandelier style or hoops. (The bigger the hoop, the bigger the ho?) I don’t have many studs.

Do you have your own nails, eyelashes, eyebrows, hair and boobs?

henetha Fri 25-Mar-22 10:30:09

I have a few indoor plants, including two lemon trees which I am growing from pips...
(To the question before, I simply love repairing things. I'm a dab hand with superglue, duct tape, and string.).

Do you prefer stud earrings or danglies?

BBbevan Fri 25-Mar-22 10:21:02

If it is really precious to you, try to repair it.

Do you have a lot of indoor plants, or can you not stand the faff?

Mollygo Fri 25-Mar-22 09:45:45

Walking. That way I can be sure I’m out in the sun. Just sitting, unless I’m on holiday, I feel I should be doing something useful. Having my Kindle helps, but really walking’s more social.

If you accidentally break something you value, do you try to repair it or bin it? (Just trying to decide about this morning’s mishap.)

AGAA4 Thu 24-Mar-22 16:41:02

A glass of elderflower cordial.

Do you prefer walking on sunny days or sitting outside?

hollysteers Thu 24-Mar-22 14:06:11

This weather cheers me up, washing on the line and little jobs in the garden.

You can only drink your last drink for the rest of your life, what is it?

BBbevan Thu 24-Mar-22 13:34:44

Been out all morning gardening. Loads of primroses and daffodils in the garden. Coffee in the newly cleaned gazebo.

And again please

DanniRae Thu 24-Mar-22 13:09:57

Same question.........!

ginny Thu 24-Mar-22 12:59:33

Love it. Sitting outside eating lunch now.

DanniRae Thu 24-Mar-22 12:57:06

OMG no butter? Hot from the toaster with lashings of butter - delicious! We have been having hot cross buns for weeks because, as AGAA4 has already said they are too nice to only have for a few days smile

Are you enjoying this beautiful weather or do you hide inside when the sun comes out? I love it as it is now but don't like it too hot.

Mollygo Thu 24-Mar-22 12:03:22

Fresh from ASDA are lovely untoasted. From Booths and other places I toast them. Choc chip and ginger can only be toasted under the grill!

If you eat Hot Cross Buns untoasted, do you butter them. Me yes, DH, never!

SachaMac Thu 24-Mar-22 12:00:08

No I find the marzipan too much, there's only my mum that loves it in our family.

Do you prefer your hot cross buns toasted or as they come (it’s toasted for me)

AGAA4 Thu 24-Mar-22 11:51:06

Yes. I bought some on Tuesday when my son came for lunch. Too nice just for a few days at Easter.

Do you like simnel cake?

henetha Thu 24-Mar-22 10:49:49

Yes, Simon Cowell apparently. Kind and generous to those in need.

Have you bought any hot cross buns yet? Or do you make your own?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Thu 24-Mar-22 08:02:13

There are loads of stories abut Cilla not being so nice in real life. I always thought that Jimmy Saville had a 'secret' and now we all know about it don't we? He always made my skin crawl. C'mon, Fanny give us some tittle-tattle - not that I'm one to gossip, of course.

Have you heard of any celebrities who are much nicer in real life than their public persona? I've heard that Jeremy Clarkson just puts on an act.

DanniRae Thu 24-Mar-22 07:39:09

I wasn't fond of Cilla Black - although I loved Blind Date and associate it with Saturday dinner time in front of the tv smile
I thought she had an awful voice and was very lucky to be as successful as she was.

Same question as above - my brain is not working at this early hour!

FannyCornforth Thu 24-Mar-22 07:09:30

I always disliked Cilla. How she switched between working class Scouser salt of the earth , and almost regal.

Sorry, I’ve typed that and now gone a blank!

Same question as above, seeing as I can’t answer it, which is odd as I’ve usually got loads of celebrity tittle tattle confused

hollysteers Thu 24-Mar-22 01:02:13

Ballet at Covent Garden.

Which popular entertainer have you heard is/was not so nice in real life?
(Cilla Black)

crazyH Thu 24-Mar-22 00:42:45

What I was expecting, but still high !!

Mollygo Wed 23-Mar-22 19:04:06

Fascinating Aïda.
Not everyone’s cup of tea, but great for a girls night out.

Have your rates/Council Tax arrived yet? Was the increase about what you expected or worse?

SachaMac Wed 23-Mar-22 12:54:41

I have a certain teaspoon I like to eat my yoghurt or dessert with, I rarely use a dessert spoon at home.

If you were offered tickets to see any show, play, musical etc in the theatre what would you choose.

BBbevan Wed 23-Mar-22 12:33:48

Yes ,it was my staff room mug, aeons ago.

I also have my favourite, knife, fork, spoon, napkin etc at home.Do you ?

FannyCornforth Wed 23-Mar-22 12:28:47

Well, last Saturday afternoon’s palaver was up there!

My mom’s death and my reaction to it; ditto death of first dog (to a lesser extent of course)
DH’s many health scares too.

Do you have a special mug?

crazyH Wed 23-Mar-22 12:17:28

Oh yes , I still have friends from my childhood. Unfortunately, we’re spread across the globe, but keep in touch via WhatsApp, FB etc

What’s the scariest thing that has happened to you? Mine were all related to health (mine/family).
