Hello again and Merry Christmas Questioners and Answerers!?

Not ‘what is the best present that you have received?’, instead;

What is the best present that you have given?
Are you a good gifter?

(I’m going to have to think about it, but I do think that I’m rather good at choosing presents)

henetha Wed 23-Mar-22 10:53:22

No, but I still have the bookcase I was given for my tenth birthday. And a watch also, for the same birthday. I wish I had kept my scruffy little teddy bear.

Do you still have friends from childhood? Or any really long standing friendships?

hollysteers Wed 23-Mar-22 10:18:55

I’m an owl after being a professional singer and performing at night, so I struggle with early mornings.

Do you still have a treasured childhood toy?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Wed 23-Mar-22 09:16:46

PJs in winter, cotton nighties in summer.

What time do you get up each morning?

BBbevan Wed 23-Mar-22 07:48:01

3 hrs then a big gap, usually 1 o’clock to around 3. Then sleep again to 5:30 or 6 o’clock. So on a good night 6 hours ?

What if anything do you wear in bed? I usually wear a short nighty but have just bought some pjs.

Juliet27 Wed 23-Mar-22 06:43:09

Yes, I have. I still work part time but can often fall asleep on the sofa when I get home and have little enthusiasm to get going again. No matter what time I go to bed I still wake around 5.30 (even if I’ve not napped during the day). I think I need 8 hours sleep a night but in two sessions!!

How many hours sleep do you get by on?

crazyH Wed 23-Mar-22 00:41:52

Yes, for sure - even remove my bra !

In the past 2 years, I have become so lazy and lethargic - have you.?

biglouis Wed 23-Mar-22 00:18:55

I think it depends upon the person and if they had outside interests and an active social life before. I keep reading on forums about people who feel safer at home.

Do you put comfortable clothes on as soon as you get in? Loungewear etc.

BBbevan Tue 22-Mar-22 16:43:08

I have no idea. Bit late to try now though. Although on reflection,I think most women are resourceful, so Yes.

I have a neighbour who is finding it difficult to go out, after lockdown.
Have you come across this and might it be temporary.?

hollysteers Tue 22-Mar-22 16:21:52

Cat person but never had a dog so am open minded.

Do you think a woman can live happily without a man in her life?

biglouis Mon 21-Mar-22 13:31:50

car = cat!

biglouis Mon 21-Mar-22 13:30:30

Im taking time off from my business to visit my sister who lives in London and do the antique markets.

Are you a dog or a cat person?

I grew up in a house with dogs - my father had several. Ive never owned a car but have become intrigued by their air of entitlement and the odd things they do. My nephew has a lovely ginger one.

I don't use flannels now. I just wash with a very mild soap and warm water.

Do you have plans for Easter?

SachaMac Mon 21-Mar-22 11:28:10

Ive just come back from walking the dog and I’m having a coffee in the garden before heading to craft club.

Does anyone still use face flannels, I prefer to use a liquid facial cleanser & remove with a nice soft warm flannel. As kids my mum was always giving our chops a quick wipe with a soapy flannels but people seem to just use wet wipes now.

crazyH Mon 21-Mar-22 10:23:41

Question: what’s everyone doing right now ? Obviously on your iPad, but I mean, after that. I’m going up for a shower

crazyH Mon 21-Mar-22 10:21:35

henetha?
I don’t know when I last had a Sunday Roast - probably sometime last year at my daughter’s place. I don’t think the youngsters are bothered about it now. If it’s a nice day, they probably take the little ones out to the Park etc
In the 70s and 80s, every family had a Sunday roast. In my little culdesac, the men went out to the Pub, while the women did the Sunday roast. Our routine was slightly different. My husband did not join the pub goers. He did the lawn/gardening while I did the roast. ?

henetha Mon 21-Mar-22 09:44:57

One of my favourites is sprouts! I love them. I also like mashed swede, carrots, cabbage.

(note for Crazy, - I love pot noodles too. My secret vice!)

We always had left over joint on Mondays when I was young. Does this still exist as a habit? I rarely have a joint these days.

BBbevan Mon 21-Mar-22 07:22:48

I quite like coffee at the moment.

I love sprouts. DH hates them. Do you have a favourite vegetable?

SachaMac Sun 20-Mar-22 13:06:10

Whoops I missed a whole page there!!

SachaMac Sun 20-Mar-22 13:04:45

My favourite cartoons were the Wacky Races and Scooby Doo, I just loved Muttley’s titter.

What is your favourite Ice Cream flavour (Pistachio for me)

crazyH Sun 20-Mar-22 12:08:02

Pot noodles

Are you lying out in the sun, trying to get a tan ?

nanna8 Sun 20-Mar-22 12:01:35

I don’t regularly defrost because it is automatic but I do use up all the old scraps etc in stir fries unless they are pretty old and then I get nervous!

What do you have for a meal if you are in a rush ? Stir fries here- 5 minutes and you’re done and quick noodles/rice.

henetha Sun 20-Mar-22 11:34:34

Tinned peaches. grin.
It used to be bananas but I've gone off them for some reason.
Blueberries.

I'm sorting out my freezer at the moment. Do you regularly defrost, and eat things lurking at the back?

DanniRae Sun 20-Mar-22 09:30:54

I have always had a jar of Branston Pickle in my cupboard - the only change being I now prefer the one with the smaller chunks. I always have a bowl of apples on the table too.

What is your favourite fruit that you always have available?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Sun 20-Mar-22 08:26:30

Yes, time seems to go by quickly and it's time to do the weekly shop again.

What is your absolute 'must' store cupboard ingredient?

BBbevan Sun 20-Mar-22 05:26:04

Forlorn Leghorn. Though we didn't have television until I was 12. But I quite liked 'Jane' in my Nan's News of the World.

Sunday again. Do you find the weeks flash by?
