Is there anything you enjoy eating but hate cooking because the smell lingers ?
Mine is Fish pie.

What in your view is the most dangerous thing you have willingly taken part in?

As for most of my life I have had people relying on me I wouldn't willingly put myself in danger. I did walk alone late at night in city streets when I was a teenager so I suppose some would say that was dangerous.

Have you ever taken part in extreme sports?

Climbing Helvellyn in the winter of 1962/3. The snow was thigh deep. We didn't think it was dangerous at the time. But on reflection it was.
What is the furthest you have ever travelled?

Not very far, I'm afraid - Paris is the furthest I've travelled. I loved it there but doubt I'd go again for all sorts of reasons.

Is it frosty where you are today?

No, not quite. I thought it was very cold early this morning but my neighbour who has an exterior thermometer said it was 2 degrees. We've had hardly any frost/ice this winter in south Devon. Except up on the moors of course.
It's raining quite heavily at the moment.

Have you been around any sales yet? Found any bargains?

No , I avoid sales. Can’t be doing with them. Unless one is very lucky it seems generally that items in a sale are reduced because they are items that didn’t sell well anyway.

I love my chair that allows me to put my feet up and supports my back. Do you have a favourite chair ?

I tend to sit in my chair during the day and on my sofa in the evenings. Both comfortable.

Did you enjoy your school days?

I absolutely adored them.
I had a bit of a rough patch when I was bullied in the first year of secondary, but overall I loved them

How about you?

Love all of it. I was very ill and missed a lot of school in my early teens and was apprehensive about going back but all was fine. Just loved being at art school.

Did you have any memorable teachers?

My favourite teacher was Mrs Ruth Stott. She was my teacher in the last year of middle school.
I often think of her, I’d love it if she was on here!
She had a daughter called Antonia and was originally from Hastings.

I also had a wonderful maths teacher called Ginny Bashford.
I was really clever at school but absolutely awful at maths, and she worked really hard to get me over the line!
In a similar twisted way, I couldn’t stand my art teacher, even though it was my favourite subject .

Did you have any teachers that you really didn’t like?

Biology teacher.Not so much didn't like but he was a rubbish teacher.Would copy text from the books onto the board then get us to copy the text from the board.No questions or answers were given just copying from the board.I dropped biology. Chemistry teacher slicked black hair,same black suit every time.Would bellow at you out of nowhere, very frightening teacher.Funnily someone met him hospital and said he was very nice.I dropped chemistry.

Do you like driving or being driven?I f you had the chance to be chauffeured anywhere where would it be?

I love driving and am rarely driven by anyone else.
But I wouldn't mind a 6 months trip around America (or Australia) in a chauffeur driven motorhome.

Are you going shopping today? I avoid Fridays as everywhere is crowded. I do my main shop (or click and collect) on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.

Yes, been and done before work. The shops are empty early on and the No-masker on the delicatessen hasn’t arrived to start wiping her nose on the back of her hand as she serves people.

What time do you usually have lunch when you’re at home and can choose your time?

I don't usually shop on Fridays either as it is too busy. Wednesdayis my usual day.

Do you drive if it's icy? I try to avoid it if I can.

We don’t have breakfast ( 16:8 diet) so usually have lunch around 12
And no I never drive when it is icy even though we have a 4x4

It’s raining again here., so shall probably watch some TV this afternoon. I love Scandi noir. Do you have a favourite or do you dislike it?

I have no interest in it.

I have just cleared out my airing/ linen cupboard. Makes me feel good to see it nice and tidy.
What household job makes you feel good ?

Not yet, but I often begin a sentence, "I may have said this before, but ... "

Do you have a corner shop within walking distance? Do you shop there?

No but wish I had one. Very rural here but we did have a post office/shop about 5 minutes walk away years ago.

Do you have interesting neighbours?

Until recently no, but a new one has moved in next door and has proved to be amazing. We have coffee and fascinating chats, we've been out for meals and to the cinema, etc.

If things becomer difficult, would you buy a mobility scooter?
Would you feel confident going out on one?

No mobility scooter for me due to lack of confidence.

What was the happiest period in your life?

From meeting the wife,having kids,grandaughter to the present day.

Do you prefer to cook at home for your family or eat out with them?

Cook at home, but eating out is OK now they are older.

Do you have odd nights when you just can’t sleep for no apparent reason? Not on a regular pattern, just occasionally.
