Why don’t I go to bed earlier? (I enjoy the evenings too much)

Ginny, is Christmas approaching making you jittery?

Grandpajo Tue 21-Dec-21 01:00:08

I thinking about making a tea with oat milk because that's all we buy now because they all drink it,but it's disgusting. But I think I really want a tea so going to just try a drop of the oat and hope I can enjoy a little bit.

I'm thinking it's wonderful that Soop operation fund has reached £15,000. So happy for her and for her family. shamrock

Marydoll Tue 21-Dec-21 07:33:59

I'm thinking that I shouldn't have stayed up half the night, waiting for Soop's total to reach it's target. I'm shattered, but it was worth it.

Oopsadaisy1 Tue 21-Dec-21 08:10:50

I’m thinking that it’s a great result for Soops fund.

I’m also thinking that I’m going to have to buy some pjs, thanks to marydolls emergency hospital bag list, I don’t think that my vest tops will suffice (mixed wards!!OMG)

I'm thinking, "I wish the sun would come up so I can get into the garage to separate Stuff For The British Heart Foundation from Stuff For The Rescue Kennels from The last Couple Of Boxes Of Stuff To Sort Before I Move House before they arrive 'between 09:00-12-:00', although they probably won't take the furniture because it's too big, and yes there is a light in the garage but it's damp and cold outside and cold inside the garage and a wee bit sun would make it better.....

I'm thinking that I really need to get on with my housework.

Put too much lemon juice in the smoothie and the sides of my mouth seem to have joined together. Tears in my eyes ?

hollysteers Wed 22-Dec-21 00:06:08

I’m usually later than midnight going to bed but sang in a Christmas concert, came home, put 60s music on Alexa and danced around the sitting room.

On my way to Specsavers on the bus. Can’t see a blessed thing with the mask and misted up rarely-worn distance glasses combo. Wondering how the sight test’s going to go. grin

I'm thinking I will definitely wash the kitchen floor before lunchtime.

henetha Wed 22-Dec-21 09:50:03

Today I am thinking that I'm losing the plot. I've never found the lead up to Christmas so overwhelmingly difficult as I have this year. Everything has been a massive effort.
Am I getting old? confused

DanniRae Wed 22-Dec-21 10:14:31

I am thinking exactly the same henetha

Baggs Wed 22-Dec-21 10:18:27

That I had better put the tin of sardines at the back of the cutlery drawer or something (tins of sardines are usually in a high cupboard which requires a chair being moved and I got them down early this morning) so that DH does not eat them for breakfast. They are going in a tomatoey pasta sauce on which we will sprinkle crumbly Greek cheese.

While you're at it could you wash my kitchen cupboard doors please? ?

henetha Wed 22-Dec-21 10:24:40

Glad I'm not the only one, DanniRae. I vow to cut down next Christmas...
I hope you have a happy christmas anyway.
Cheers wine

That I am completely discombobulated as to how the few last minute bits I intended picking up at the supermarket today have morphed into a list with 40 items on it.

Billybob4491 Wed 22-Dec-21 13:12:48

I wish I could remember what day it is!

Kim19 Wed 22-Dec-21 13:27:50

So bad I did it twice!

nadateturbe Wed 22-Dec-21 14:03:45

I'm hoping the chest of drawers I ordered doesn't arrive while I'm watching Countdown semi-final! (14.10 - 15.00)

nadateturbe Wed 22-Dec-21 14:06:46

and it's here! smile

MissAdventure Wed 22-Dec-21 14:12:56

Enjoy your new, drawers. Ooh err, matron! smile

DanniRae Wed 22-Dec-21 14:40:48

Mr R and I have just returned from our last supermarket shop before Christmas. Fridge and freezer full up and we await the hordes to arrive on Christmas Day.
Note to the 'Hope the sprouts are looking ok when I go to buy 'em' brigade - they were looking fine! Phew, what a relief. The turkey comes out of the freezer tomorrow morning and I descend into the 'Is it defrosting/not defrosting too soon/not soon enough' group shock
Now, as my dear old mum used to say when she had all the shopping in for Christmas "That's it! What we haven't got we will go without!

MissAdventure Wed 22-Dec-21 14:59:26

grin
I can remember every christmas when I was small seemed to involve a lot of attention on the turkey.
