Hello All! ? ?
I’ve tried to be more grammatically correct with the title this time.

Do you enjoy musical theatre?
??
Which is your favourite?

I love Jesus Christ Superstar; Cabaret; Oliver!; Sweeney Todd; Oklahoma
I could go on and on…

Bellanonna Wed 08-Jun-22 08:07:34

I have very few. I hate them in hotels where they litter the bed.

Do you ever make tea with leaves and a teapot?

SachaMac Wed 08-Jun-22 08:21:21

Yes occasionally, I like to buy different teas, I brought some lovely tea in Betty’s in Harrogate. I much prefer loose tea but tea bags are just easier day to day.

Did you buy a video recorder when they first came out & did you have VHS or Betamax. We had a Betamax because we were told the picture quality was better, we were happy with it but of course it ended up in the loft when everything went VHS.

hollysteers Wed 08-Jun-22 11:42:09

I had VHS and really should get round to have some transferred to CD, although they are probably disappearing?

Do you enjoy a regular tipple?

AGAA4 Wed 08-Jun-22 11:46:29

I do like cushions to bring a splash of colour to my room. Only have them in the living room.

Do you like the early mornings of summer with the birds singing at first light?
I like hearing them but some people I know don't.

ginny Wed 08-Jun-22 12:25:38

Love to hear the birds although the crows don’t sound very melodic!

This morning I’ve listened to all sorts of sounds with my 1 year old DGS. The wind in the trees, children in the school playground , flags flapping on the flag pole.

Do you watch the clouds and see pictures in them? I’ve always done this and my children and Grand children do too. DH doesn’t seem to be able to do (6

henetha Wed 08-Jun-22 16:14:45

Yes I do. Clouds are very interesting.
I belong to the Cloud Appreciation Society.

There are some strange societies in Britain. People who like road roundabouts, or electricity pylons for for instance. Do you belong to, or have an interest, in anything like that?

AGAA4 Wed 08-Jun-22 16:17:59

No. I do have interests but they are not very unusual ones.

Have you ever flown in a helicopter?

biglouis Wed 08-Jun-22 16:36:46

Yes - I went to a hotel in the Himalayas in one. Fantastic views but a bit scary.

Do you write anything by hand apart from shopping lists?

I keep a page a day diary and enjoy writing it each evening.

crazyH Wed 08-Jun-22 20:37:43

Just the same as you - I’ve always kept a diary, so did my mum. And she always wrote down her daily expenditure. Ofcourse, those days, everything was ‘cash’. Yet, I do it and I circle payments made with credit card. I only have one Credit Card.

I’m watching a programme on Costco. Do you bulkbuy ?

ginny Wed 08-Jun-22 20:48:03

Yes after I have checked it is actually saving me money.

Do you feed birds in your garden?

We do but sometimes I get cross because magpies or crows keep the smaller birds away.

BlueBalou Wed 08-Jun-22 20:53:00

Yes, we have many birds visiting us, from jays to nuthatches and goldfinches to pheasants. We back onto woodland so see many birds.

What is your favourite colour?

henetha Wed 08-Jun-22 21:10:16

Pink. I'm very keen on pink. It's a happy colour.

Have you got strong will power?
I'm trying to diet but keep being tempted by chocolate, cakes, etc

hollysteers Wed 08-Jun-22 22:47:55

Not really, but I have become almost teetotal as fed up with the after effects of even a couple of glasses of wine.

Do you have a favourite tipple?

MrsKen33 Thu 09-Jun-22 05:37:01

To merge the last two questions. I have strong willpower so have a gin and tonic only on a Friday night.

How full is your ironing basket? Do you iron everything in it or often leave things for another day?

NanKate Thu 09-Jun-22 07:12:00

I have to admit I don’t own an ironing basket, I just hang up a few things that need ironing and then get out the ironing board about every 6 weeks and iron for about an hour and that’s it.

What was your favourite part of the Jubilee celebrations ?

henetha Thu 09-Jun-22 10:48:55

I found the whole thing quite wonderful. But in particular the concert from in front of the palace. Apart from most of the acts, I loved the lights on the front of the palace, and the drone lights in the sky.

How do they do those drone patterns? It must take a lot of planning. Does anyone know how they do it?

biglouis Thu 09-Jun-22 12:37:00

I have no way how they do it - expert programming I expect.

Does it bother you having workpeople in the house? Even when they are coming to fix something that broke!

I bl***y hate it. I just cant wait to see the back of them. I have two of them coming today and I woke up with a sick feeling knowing that my home was being "invaded".

crazyH Thu 09-Jun-22 12:55:04

I hate it. My hall, stairs and landing, look shabby and needs painting . I was actually quite happy when the painter/decorator told me he was so busy, he would only be able to do it in September.

Do you have set meal times or are you an eat-when hungry type of person (I live on my own)?

hollysteers Thu 09-Jun-22 15:13:01

Eat when hungry now on my own and sometimes forget when tied up in something interesting…

Would you call yourself a practical person?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Thu 09-Jun-22 16:11:02

Yes, I'd say that I'm practical and creative.

Do you throw things away easily or do you prefer to hang onto things in case they come in handy?

SachaMac Thu 09-Jun-22 21:20:14

I tend to hang in to things, especially clothes & books. Really must have a good sort out!

Do you read e books or prefer to have the proper book or buy both?

Bellanonna Thu 09-Jun-22 23:04:27

I prefer books. I like turning pages.

Do you still (if at all) ride a bike?

crazyH Thu 09-Jun-22 23:23:11

Sadly, No. I gave it up when I moved here. The traffic on the roads scared the life out of me.

I am hooked on Court TV. I enjoy the to and fro with the Barristers. Unfortunately due to the time difference I’m often watching later the night. I am not into Films unless they are based on reality. Fiction is not my thing. What about you?

hollysteers Fri 10-Jun-22 16:36:11

I’m pretty catholic in my film tastes and like film noir, French films and I enjoyed the recent Downton Abbey film.

Which film star would you like to look like? (The young Sophia Loren)

NanKate Fri 10-Jun-22 17:39:22

Katharine Hepburn mostly for her sparky nature and slim figure.

Which male tv/film person would you like to treat you out to Dinner and where ?
