Hello All! ? ?
I’ve tried to be more grammatically correct with the title this time.

Do you enjoy musical theatre?
??
Which is your favourite?

I love Jesus Christ Superstar; Cabaret; Oliver!; Sweeney Todd; Oklahoma
I could go on and on…

crazyH Sat 02-Jul-22 19:32:51

Never been on one.

Do you like Cruises? I do, been on 3, I think, or 4? Can’t remember.

MrsKen33 Sat 02-Jul-22 19:51:43

Yes love them Been on about 6. Last one to the Arctic just before lockdown.

Do you have a paper and pencil to hand always?. I do I have a permanent pad on the table. Things to do, to remember. Thoughts etc

biglouis Sat 02-Jul-22 23:55:52

Yes - I always have pen and paper ready to hand in each room. Even the loo!

Have you ever been to the opera?

Ive been several times in London and in my home city. I loved the whole occasion of Glyndebourne (La Traviata) and did the entire formal dress thing although this was back in the early 90s.

Bellanonna Sun 03-Jul-22 10:10:44

Yes, often, but more “back in the day” than recently

Have you been to the ballet? (My preference I think, but really expensive now)

hollysteers Sun 03-Jul-22 11:53:55

I don’t go often, but love it, particularly contemporary ballet.

Are you still frightened of contracting Covid when out and about?

AGAA4 Sun 03-Jul-22 16:56:27

I don't really think about it much now. I know cases are going up but I just think I have to get on with my life and hope all the jabs will help to protect me.

Do you ever have really weird dreams?

Mollygo Sun 03-Jul-22 19:47:21

Yes. The most common one is about being in a concentration camp. I have no background for this, but it feels very real. I feel for the KS2 children learning more than I ever did at school.

Other weird dreams anyone?

biglouis Mon 04-Jul-22 00:42:33

I often have weird dreams but can only remember bits of them after I wake up. Some of the most vivid were when I was trying to find someone lost in the dream.

Have you ever taken sleeping tablets?

I was once prescribed them but I woke up feeling like a zombie so I never finished the course. Ive learned that I will eventually fall asleep when my body is ready.

ginny Mon 04-Jul-22 07:54:57

No, never taken prescription sleeping tablets.

Yesterday we had fun playing crazy golf. Have you or when did you last play ?

FannyCornforth Mon 04-Jul-22 09:27:06

I love crazy golf too!
Unfortunately it was quite a while ago I last played, about seven years ago.
It was at Bridlington.
Not many crazy golf courses nearby.
I do wish that I lived beside the seaside (? Beside the Seeeea! ?)

I love old fashioned sea side resorts, especially when out of season.
Do you?

hollysteers Mon 04-Jul-22 09:37:12

No, as I live in one! My ideal is going inland deep into the countryside.

Do you have weeks when you feel you have taken on too much, there are too many other jobs waiting and you feel anxious? (Me at the moment)

henetha Mon 04-Jul-22 10:27:17

Yes. It all piles up and I can't cope. That's a regular feeling.
Me at the moment too, but in the happiest of ways. My lovely son who has been away for three months is back home and it's wonderful, And his daughter, my beautiful granddaughter, has come over from Ireland to visit us. So we have been having big family reunions since Friday and it's marvellous. But I'm so tired now. Very happy too though.

Do you like bagels? Warburton's do some thinner ones which are really nice. What would you put on a bagel? Or do you prefer crumpets or muffins?

crazyH Mon 04-Jul-22 12:27:54

Never liked bagels, sorry.

We are all probably in that age range, when we are trying to put our affairs in order. I have written a Will , dividing everything equally between the 3 children, but I have not sorted my GC. I will probably do a Codicil, giving a piece of my jewellery for each of them. What about you - are your GC mentioned in your Will?

crazyH Mon 04-Jul-22 12:28:32

Btw , Crumpets for me ……

henetha Mon 04-Jul-22 12:35:43

That's quite a coincidence. I also want to change my will to include my grandchildren . I must get round to it
soon. ...just in case....

Same question...

MrsKen33 Mon 04-Jul-22 14:24:27

I have two children, they get a third each. The other third is divided between the two GDs.

And again please

lovebeigecardigans1955 Mon 04-Jul-22 15:32:01

I'm dividing between three siblings equally and hope they will support a charity or two.

What about that huge fictitious lottery win? How would you share it out?

AGAA4 Mon 04-Jul-22 17:00:04

I would divide most of it between the ACs and GCs but some would go to the charities I support.

Do you ever wonder how your life may have been if you had made different choices?

hollysteers Mon 04-Jul-22 22:17:55

Yes, I’m sure most people do. But I can’t complain as to how it has turned out.

On what topic could you talk about for 30 minutes uninterrupted without notes? (Opera)

crazyH Mon 04-Jul-22 22:21:35

Curry

I’m finding this heat very difficult - I’ve got the fan on 24/7. and windows open . Are you doing the same?

ginny Mon 04-Jul-22 22:42:14

Goodness, where are you ? No such problem where I am.

Looking forward to outing tomorrow. We will be with 4 friends and we think we are like the Famous 5 ( although there are 6 of us) .
Have you ever felt like any particular fictional character ?

biglouis Mon 04-Jul-22 23:28:11

I used to imagine myself as Flash Gordon going to Mars when I was of an age to go to the saturday matinee.

Have you ever had a bad fall?

So far Ive been lucky enough to escape.

FannyCornforth Tue 05-Jul-22 05:48:05

About eight or nine years ago (early 40’s) I fell all the way down the stairs onto a tiled floor.
My face was totally smashed up, and I lost my front teeth.
I looked like I’d been in a car accident.
I was very lucky really- I was told that I could have killed myself.
It was the first sign that there was something seriously the matter with my leg (it collapsed and I fell).

Have you ever lived in a high rise flat?
I did years ago in my early 20’s.
I really liked it. It had brilliant views over the city; it was lovely at night

biglouis Tue 05-Jul-22 13:13:24

Yes - I lived on the 12th floor of a council tower block when I went back to uni as a mature student. I had some very scary neighbours (drug dealers etc).

Have you ever lived in social housing?

Ive lived in a number of social housing flats while a student. Some were very rough and some ok.

SachaMac Tue 05-Jul-22 19:13:14

No but my mum now lives in a housing association flat & its ideal for her.

Do you think you would consider moving house or maybe down sizing or are you happy & settled where you are.
