Hello! 👋
New thread.

To answer the last question; No, I don’t have CCTV cameras

Q: Who are your favourite male and female singers?

Ali08 Wed 25-Oct-23 07:02:09

New names keep popping up. Maybe FC is busy with her pup. Has anyone tried messaging her?

fancythat Mon 23-Oct-23 14:31:50

Perhaps she changed names?

I looked back at an old thread recently, from about 6 months ago.
There were about 6 names there that I havent seen since then.

DanniRae Mon 23-Oct-23 12:05:03

FC popped up a little while ago asking for names for her new puppy .... plenty of people replied but I am not sure if she ever came back again?

fancythat Mon 23-Oct-23 11:30:42

My question is where is FC?

Havent seen her around for a few months.

Ooh, outrageous answers only?
I guess it would have to be Clint Eastwood AND Prince William, and they could take me anywhere they want, as long as there are no snakes or creepy-crawlies and we have a good time!

Would you be upset if GN removed the games entirely? I've seen people complaining about them!

FannyCornforth Tue 23-May-23 07:26:50

Jagold you have posted your question in the wrong place.
This is a game / chat thread.

You need to start an entirely new thread in the Relationships forum.

If you need help to do this, I can try to help; or alternatively I could ask Gransnet HQ to move your post.

Let me know if you want help

I would like some advice on dealing with my 2 adult grandchildren. My daughter and I have always had conflicts and everytime this happens, she calls her children and tells them. I've never asked them because I don't want to get them involved, but I suspect she doesn't always tell them the truth. My grandson is married and recently had a son. I've seen my great grandson once in 5 months. I reach out to both kids always, but months can go by of no response. My daughter and I have since forgiven each other and get together often. My husband and I always go to Arizona for the winters. We live in Idaho. I tried numerous times to contact my grandson to meet my great grandson before we left. On christmas my daughter had her kids over and posted pictures on Facebook. My husband and I were abviously hurt. I haven't talked to her about it because she is having some health issues. I have reached out to both grandkids, but they rarely respond. We all live about 5 miles from each other. My question is do I let my daughter know how hurt I was about Christmas? She knew I really wanted to meet the baby before I left and I tried letting them all know. I don't feel part of this family anymore. We were once very close. My daughter knows how I feel and I've apologized many times for hurting her feelings. I never did intentionally, but she's intitled to her feelings, as she's told me many times. I'm 74 and starting to have health issues. I don't want to feel like this, but don't want to make things worse. Can anyone give me some advice?

I used to love going to the theatre, we have a lovely theatre here, but can not risk it now post Covid.
MrC is has lung disease and is extremely vulnerable to any virus

Do you have a favourite play or play write?
Mine is Peter Shaffer.
The most powerful thing I saw on stage was Royal Hunt of the Sun, it starred Dennis Quilley.

Death In Paradise. Mostly for the lovely scenery. Those beaches on Guadalupe are fantastic. Cheers me up on wet cold days.

Do you enjoy going to the theatre? One of my favourite things to do.

We are in a safe place and I'd like to be whisked away by my current crush but I'm not naming names.

What's your favourite must-see tv programme at the moment?

FannyCornforth Wed 19-Apr-23 09:20:48

Wow! AGA you saucy thing! Not a bad idea though…

To answer the ‘whisking’ question, I’ve mentioned this in passing before, but I’ve got a weird thing for an LBC presenter called Ian Payne.
I’ve even had several dreams about him.
I’ve stopped listening to his shows in case it gets a bit out of hand ! blush

Inspired by AGA, and because we are in a ‘safe space’ for objectifying men (I’ve noticed that when we’ve had threads about ‘nice men’, we get told off); which sports man (or woman) do you find attractive?

I’ve got a bit of a thing about Mo Sallah.
He’s stupidly good looking and looks intelligent and interesting

Eric Clapton 🎸 please.

Same question.

AGAA4 Tue 18-Apr-23 17:22:09

Same question please.

AGAA4 Tue 18-Apr-23 17:21:47

I would like to be whisked away by one of the premier League football teams. A different man for each day of my holiday 😁

MrsKen33 Tue 18-Apr-23 16:10:43

Yes Fanny I think I went to a big exhibition at the Tate and saw his work there for the first time ..60s - 70s. I have the catalogue somewhere.

FannyCornforth Tue 18-Apr-23 12:05:41

Ken, as an aside, am I mistaken, or did you mention once that you are a fan of Lichtenstein?

MrsKen33 Tue 18-Apr-23 11:57:59

Not saying Fanny but I am in a constant state of readiness.

Same again please ( as the art mistress said to the gardener)

FannyCornforth Tue 18-Apr-23 10:16:47

Whitby. Or Northumberland.
I’m easy to please geographically!

Who would you like to whisk you away?
(Outrageous answers only, lovely as they are, no DHs!)

lovebeigecardigans1955 Tue 18-Apr-23 10:11:09

I've love to be whisked away to the north Breton coast in northern France to a favourite campsite overlooking the sea. I expect it's changed an awful lot since the last visit many years ago.

Same question again please.

AGAA4 Sun 16-Apr-23 16:37:24

Only overnight but I am planning to go for a few days away on my own.

If you could be whisked away where would you want to go?

8 “ scar from appendix and bowl op’ in 1963.
Both Knees have scars due to replacements.
4 “ scar on sole of right foot due to stepping on a needle.
Small scars on fingers of right hand due to a needle and a wine bottle explosion.
Will probably gain another on my hip before the year is out.

I am going away later this month all my myself. Have rented an apartment overlooking a river. Have you ever been away on your own ?

MrsKen33 Sat 15-Apr-23 14:00:34

Yup! hip to hip and a little further down ,a hysterectomy scar.
About 8 inches across.

Any more?

henetha Sat 15-Apr-23 13:11:28

My appendectomy scar is almost 5 inches long. I was 16 when my appendix erupted. No keyhole surgery back then unfortunately.

Anyone got any interesting scars?

NotAGran55 Fri 14-Apr-23 16:57:22

Six months after an emergency appendectomy the site ruptured.
The repair, done by keyhole, is a piece of mesh measuring 20cm x 10cm held in place by 42 staples.
No known medical conditions 🤞

Well done on reversing your diabetes MrsKen.

Same question please.

MrsKen33 Thu 13-Apr-23 15:10:10

I was diabetic but now I have reversed it by diet. Lost 2 1/2 stone and have kept it off for the last eight years. And I am very short sighted. Otherwise in quite good nick for my age.

Same question please
