This morning I walked in the sun
I was glad the rain had all gone
Spring is so charming
With sounds of farming
But plenty of work to be done

I met a very silly man
He ran off with my frying pan
I rolled him in the dirt
He said it " didn't hurt"
I said "Replace it when you can"

I'm sorry, could not resist altering the lines slightly so as to fit the limerick pattern of syllables which is 88558. A slight variation doesn't matter too much.
I expect I'll get told off for this. Rightly so. But I just like Limericks and like keeping to the pattern.
