New Limerick thread, following on...

The Signors, they seem to love her
And enjoy dancing above her,
They dance the fandango
Flamenco, tango
Prefer to dance with each other

It's like I've never been away

It’s like I’ve never been away
I’ve been home for under a day

It’s like I’ve never been away
I’ve been home for under a day
But Espana was fun

He's so prim and proper at times
In drinks, prefers lemons to limes

GoldenLady

It’s like I’ve never been away
I’ve been home for under a day
But Espana was fun

And now it's time to make hay!

My heart's all a-flutter
Words of love I shall utter

It’s like I’ve never been away
I’ve been home for under a day
But Espana was fun
There was so much sun
And now it is time to make hay

Retread one line each

He’s so prim and proper at times

Sorry!

He's so prim and proper at times
Looks like he has been sucking limes

He's so prim and proper at times
Looks like he has been sucking limes,
But, secretly hot,

He's so prim and proper at times
Looks like he has been sucking limes
But, secretly hot,
I like him a lot

He's so prim and proper at times
Looks like he has been sucking limes
But, secretly hot,
I like him a lot
He helps me write these little rhymes

I hope he one day writes a novel

I hope he one day writes a novel
So he can vacate his hovel,

I hope he one day writes a novel
So he can vacate his hovel,
His prose is hypnotic

I hope he one day writes a novel
So he can vacate his hovel,
His prose is hypnotic
Sexy, erotic

I hope he one day writes a novel
So he can vacate his hovel
His prose is hypnotic
Sexy, erotic
But to read it you must grovel

I don't fancy his kind of games

I don't fancy his kind of games
Or remember his characters' names

I don’t fancy his kind of games
Or remember his characters’ names
It makes me feel sick

I don’t fancy his kind of games
Or remember his characters’ names
It makes me feel sick,
So turn over quick,

I don't fancy his kind of games
Or remember his characters' names
It makes me feel sick,
So turn over quick,
Unless his writing style he tames

I like something more romantic

I like something more romantic
A story that's not too pedantic

I like something more romantic
A story that's not too pedantic
And not Mills and Boon

I like something more romantic
A story that's not too pedantic
And not Mills and Boon
Please write something soon

I like something more romantic
A story that's not too pedantic
And not Mills and Boon
Please write something soon,
Or else I shall simply be frantic.

I wish I could be a writer,

i wish I could be a writer
my life would be brighter
