Pumpkins - advice please

We grow pumpkins every year and never bother to cut the foliage. It will die down anyway as the fruit ripens. Hope you enjoy it - we love pumpkin, in both sweet and savoury recipes.

My GS and I planted a pumpkin seed, that he was given, as a competition to grow the largest one. We have a really good one growing (the size of a large melon). I need to know what to do about all the green growth that is still growing and flowering. Do I leave that or do I cut some or all of it off beyond the pumpkin? Advice please smile
