Owing to the fact my 4am running club had only 1 member last year I decided to start a 4am gardening club.
The neighbours either side have joined it and have found it a pleasant time of the day to work before the heat comes up.
I may paint my shed tomorrow.
The police stopped and asked what we were doing.
Any more takers for the 4am gardening club?.

I don't think there is a law against gardening at 4am Frank just so long as you don't get the lawn mower or strimmer out ! grin

Sounds fun though and beats wandering around the house. Can I be a part time member?

You are most welcome to join.
How far are you from Sutton Coldfield?.

I'd join, Frank but then I'd be knackered rather weary by lunchtime and it would be the wrong time of day to start the evening watering, feed the chickens and dogs, cook supper and look forward to gin o'clock. I'd be in my pyjamas by tea time. hmm

I'm with you there Frank, best time for watering. This morning I stayed indoors watching a little roly poly fox cub searching for bits of food beneath the bird feeder.
Last week I painted my garden seat and table with Sadolin opaque Superdec in a pale Jungle green , left over from my shed. It would solve the problem of your mis-matched bits of shed, as it's more like a satin paint which glides on. My rather mottled scruffy items are now smarter than when new, and the table now matches the bench.
See you in spirit at 4am tomorrow then.

Quite a way from Sutton Coldfield Frank . I am on the North East Coast just a few miles from Newcastle Upon Tyne. Like Shysal I am with you in spirit though. smile

I'm getting back into early morning gardening, except when the midges are bad (so far so good this year). Used to do it a lot in Oxon while Minibags was still asleep. Not as early as 4am though. Seven maybe.

Would n' t do for me. I hate the cold grey light of dawn with a vengeance. The sun on my back necessary requirement for gardening.

You'd have the sun on your back from about five o'clock here, jings. On sunny days like today, that is. It's never really dark at this time of year even between sunset and sunrise.

Yes. I remember that from some caravan holidays we had in Scotland some years back now. smile
