Plant Pot Feet

I buy them from the nursery/garden centre at Northampton opposite Daily Bread where they employ young people with learning difficulties and make their own to sell. Can't remember how much, maybe 30p?

I never thought of that!

They also stop hordes of woodlice accumulating under the pots - or ants' nests!

I don't use 'em then!

You only need them in the winter to protect container from frost.

I buy trivets from charity shops to put the plant pots on. Thus raising them off the ground. Usually the trivets are around a couple of pounds. The variety is quite interesting! X

Greatnan, 'foot disorder' in a gardening thread

I was asking about these items as I think that they are expensive for what they are £3/£4 for 3. I have come up with an idea , I have some old wall/floor tiles in my garage I will give them a try .

I thought this thread was going to be about some rare foot disorder!

Aldi had some cheap packs of 'feet' but they sold out in no time.

I often use broken bits of brick. Levelling a large pot can be tricky though.

Hi I think i know what you mean , but quite frankly the "feet" are so cheap I would just go ahead and buy them .

They do help with keeping the pot off the ground and so allow adequate drainage .
