Biodynamic Gardening

My approach is two-fold, no three-fold: first, the weather has to be workable in; second, I do the next most urgent thing next, unless I don't have the energy for that job, in which case (third option) I do something easier.

This approach has worked well for years and years in the town, relatively civilised garden and the country, relatively wild garden, not to mention my allotment when I had one.

So the basic rule is: do it when you think of it or when it looks as if it needs doing. One tends to think in terms of seasonal suitability anyway. That's a good enough calendar for me.

Does anyone do this successfully? We tried very seriously a few years ago, but found that if the moon was right, it was always too wet, too dry, too hot or too cold. My neighbour sticks to it rigorously (hope she didn't notice me putting my radish seed in today). Another neighbour told me very firmly that Tuesday was a day when you couldn't do anything at all, so I stuck to heaving compost around, in the hope that that would be all right.
We always have good intentions, but quickly come after unstuck. We buy the nice biodynamic diaries and normally give up on filling it in by about the second week in April. Does anyone here manage to keep gardening this way all year?
I see one couple in the new allotment challenge series are biodynamic gardening. Will be interesting to see how they get on.
