Penstemons and Nematodes

I've just read that penstemons can/will be attacked by Nematodes.
I have not long sprayed the Nematodes and now I read that you can buy penstemons that are immune.
Has anyone any experience of this?

I've got quite a few penstemons and I've never had them being attacked by pests. In fact, I'm always glad that they seem to be unattractive to slugs.

Don't understand why nematodes would attack any plants if they rely on slugs for their survival confused
They're just about the only plant slugs haven't attacked in my garden.

I find it strange that nematodes would actually attack plants.

You sure you've got that right petra?

Aren't nematodes naturally occurring organisms present in soil and watering them onto the garden just boosts the numbers?

Have a look petra and get back to us only if that is the case, I have penstemons and won't water nematodes around them

I've succumbed and googled this; the article is talking about eelworm nematodes that damage the leaves of penstemons, these are not the same type of nematodes you can use to control slugs (not snails unfortunately)

Panic over grin

I've just read the piece again and I see that they are talking about eelworm Nematodes. Panic over, phew.
