I usually pop some used tea-bags in the bottom when I plant pots , it helps to hold the moisture in the Summer months..

Use banana skins icky side on glossy leaves, to improve shine. The skins have antibacterial properties. Also, chopped skins put at the bottom of a pot or bottom of a hole work well smile
