I usually pop some used tea-bags in the bottom when I plant pots , it helps to hold the moisture in the Summer months..

I have a week by week gardening book published in the 1930s owned by my grandfather. Love it!!!!! All the tips you need are contained therein.

Use banana skins icky side on glossy leaves, to improve shine. The skins have antibacterial properties. Also, chopped skins put at the bottom of a pot or bottom of a hole work well smile
