A friend has given me a lovely basket planted with hyacinths for the house. The blooms are full now - and flopping over. What am I doing wrong? I am watering sparingly. Help!

Tie them up with a stick, they always fall over because the flowers are heavy.

Totally agree, you aren't doing anything wrong, its natual growth. Been tying mine, I buy a pot from the supermarket to put in the bathroom, lovely scent. They do fall when in full growth, its natural, at the moment I have a skewer doing the holding job grin

Those thin green sticks for indoor plants and some string should be enough to support them.
I was given some, they must have been a smaller variety because they didn't grow leggy and flop over (M&S in a nice bowl).
Unfortunately they have finished now.
