I need to get the grass from my block paving, any ideas for pet safe weedkiller please?

Glyphosate (Roundup) should be safe once it has dried - usually after one hour.

You can use a sponge applicator so it only touches the places you want it to.

RoundUp is not allowed for use on block paving or any non permeable surface btw. Use a gas weed killing wand to burn weeds- totally ecological- or cheap alcohol vinegar, especially in hot sunshine.

God, I bought one of those and nearly started a conflagration!!!

??? Roundup recommend some of their products for block paving - we use them for ours.

A strong solution of coarse pickling salt acts as a weedkiller. I used to use domestos, but don't know if it's pet-safe - it dries quickly.
We also use glyphosate, but in theory it will be banned in France from next year.
Probably a carcinogen.

Rules on Roundup changed in 2012- since then, it must not be used on non porous surfaces- due to the risk of run off into water drains:

NEW RULES ON THE
USE OF ROUNDUP
®ON NONPOROUS
HARD SURFACES, 2012
BACKGROUND
The Chemicals Regulation Directorate, (CRD)
issued new labelling rulesfor all herbicides used on non porous hard surfaces which manufacturers must comply with before June 1st
2012. Restrictions were introduced to ensure pesticide run off from nonporous hard surfaces to watercourse is minimal and can be predicted by the
HARDSPEC model used in assessing pesticides for approval.
Adopting the new rules will minimise the use of pesticides as required under the sustainable use Directive and will also save money by reducing unnecessary herbicide use in overall spraying. They will reduce run
off to drains and water bodies as required by the Water
Framework Directive. The rules implement Best Practice advised by Monsanto into a mandatory legal requirement.

New wording appears
in the ‘Directions for use’ section of the product label
on all product dispatched from Monsanto from February 2012
.

Users must follow the new label
as soon as product is delivered carrying the
amendments.

Pathclear?
With new regs about weed killers, we'll soon have "weed killers which are kind to weeds"!! grin
You could go down on your hands and knees and scrape it out..... But most weed killers are only harmful for the first half hour or hour. I know my little man in red dungarees (Green Thumb) tells me to keep Grace indoors for half an hour or so , after which it is safe enough.

This is a relatively harmless weedkiller but I am not sure it works on everything. It works well on grass. It needs further testing.
I made up partial portions of the quantities to start with. It certainly kills grass and mosses.
The "dish soap" is plain washing up liquid to help the mixture stick to the weeds better.

I suspect block paving is considered porous as it allows the water to percutale between the blocks
