colour changing bluebells

Bluebelle, I'm sure you aren't changing colour grin. Definitely not that colour last year. All a bit strange. Never mind, they look OK, if a bit, well, different.

I know pink hydrandas can change to blue flowers if you put iron in the soil (nails) but I don't think bluebells can change colour I have seen white and pink before but as individuals, not changing from one to the other

We inherited a large patch of shrubbery underplanted with (Spanish) bluebells. Not my favourite but they do look spectacular when in bloom and our neighbours have said how much they enjoy seeing them.

Just coming out, anyone know why the majority are pink this year, not the usual mauve-blue?

Nothing has changed, no fertilizer or weedkiller put on that area. Its all very odd, still looks nice in fairness but different.
