Plant labels

Sharpie pens should do the job. I have yet to find a surface that they don't work on. They are permanent so should be waterproof. Good luck!

I think I have a Sharpie somewhere Shysal I'll give it a try.

I use Sharpie markers for all my plant labels and price labels as I run a small plant stall outside my home to raise money for our local hospice. I find after a lot of sunshine (say several weeks) I need to redo the labels as the plants do sit on a South facing table. I cut up margarine tubs and plastic milk bottles for labels.
Several friends bring me plants, flowers, fruit and vegetables to sell and last year we raised £1150.

I have found a CD marker which seems to work.

Thanks Rubysong. The dahlias in the photo are grown to show standard on a nearby allotment and they always sell quickly. At the moment I have some perennials, some gardening magazines and a box of packets of flower seeds which a friend rescued from a works skip. Some rhubarb sold well today.

I cannot keep plant lables in place they end up everywhere but on the plant.

Thanks Nelliemoser. I am always surprised by people's generosity whether they bring one plant or a trayful to be sold.
One Saturday last summer an allotment holder delivered 4 large boxes of butternut squashes, courgettes, marrows and apples. Another friend gave a large bag of runner beans and then Mick arrived with a large bucket of dahlias. I didn't know which items to price first - but of course the dahlias took pole position. I save plastic punnets for the gooseberries as they arrive by the bucketful.
