Just picked some flowers, so thought I’d share them with you.

Ha, nothing on the ‘lawn’ loopyloo - it’s actually quite scrappy grass - disguised itself well in the pic!

Namsnanny - yes, they were the flowers - the pink one was given to me / not sure what it is - cross between a pink and a campion

Sallyann1, that's lovely. Inspiring photo. What do you put on the Lawn?

Namsnanny Sun 17-Jun-18 01:18:37

Sallyann1....Eye spy with my little eye...…..blue Iris, Love in a mist, pink Gladioli, Alchemilla Mollis, Crains bill? and maybe pink corn flower? Not too sure!

Lovely though!

Well, I like gardening, •JustALaugh•, though I’m not sure I consider myself a ‘good’ gardener! I love a busy, cottage garden look, so I pack lots in. And I love picking flowers for indoors, so I try and have something flowering (or lovely leaves) all the time.

They're gorgeous. You must be a very good gardener.

Sallyann1.....I think I see: roses, geranium, alchemilla mollis, possibly fluffy fennel leaves, but I have forgotten the name of the blue flower! Have I missed anything out?

Looks lovely by the way......have a bunch from Gransnet flowers !!!

I have lots of Alstromeria but they have been moved about when we were filling the raised bed and now all seem to be yellow. I used to have red ones before I got the garden sorted out.

I have some more plants in odd pots about the garden and I am hoping they will be red.

How lovely! My late MIL always used to take me into their garden when we were about to leave and cut me a beautiful bunch of flowers. Even when she lost her sight she still grew wonderful plants. She hated having cut flowers in her own house though bizarrely.

That’s beautiful. It’s always surprising how a few garden flowers can make a fantastic bouquet.

What a lovely photo - thanks for the cheerful post.

Those are beautiful flowers indeed! I like your vase also.

How lovely, our flowers are all battered.

I think it was Maw who said that blooming peonies bring on the rain. It's also true that fallen petals on the patio look lovely, unless it's my patio where they just look flipping messy!

Lovely and a spirit raiser!

Your roses are early!

Sallyann1 Sat 26-May-18 10:43:25

?? Yes, the white rose has a lovely scent - and it seems to be doing well so far this year - it was a bit swamped last year by a thuggish shrub that I’ve taken out.

Those are beautiful. I love a garden full of flowers. Unfortunately, this year DH (he's the gardener here), has opted for a shrub border and patio pots. I have no flowers yet, as he has only just planted up the pots. There is plenty of variety where the shrubs are concerned, but they haven't any flowers.

Now you have brought a beautiful dose of fresh air and delightful floral colour into ALL our homes............thank you Sallyann1.

I can imagine the aroma too.

Been pouring with rain here this week - but I guess much needed in the garden. Just picked these flowers ?
