When the rain stops I will go out and take a photo, but I am guessing some people might know what it is from description only.

Flower in bud and seed head look just like a dandelion - but it is much taller and the "clock" is much larger, the flowers are orange and it has long slim leaves.

Any ideas?

Mmmm - I do not think that is what it is from your photos. The one in my garden is much taller and does not have hairy stems. And it is spreading everywhere!!

That's odd. It does say that one is invasive.
