Lindsay10, could that be a strawberry that has self-seeded?

Please can I join in here? A new plant has appeared in my garden, and I don't recognise it. Can anyone help?

If you remove the SD card from your camera and stick it in the computer slot, you can follow the on screen prompts to load your selected photo(s). For my laptop, they then appear in Windows pictures file, which comes up when you click on 'choose file' beneath your post.

Thanks Hetty - I think I need some kind of 'Dongle'.
I used to belong to photobucket, but left when they started to charge.

Fennel, just Google the make/model of camera to find out.

I think it could be sea holly.
I watched the recent Gardener's World on iplayer and it appeared and Carol mentioned it.
Wait and see how it develops.
@Minimoon thanks. My problem is how to get the picture from the camera onto the computer. I don't have a smartphone.

Fennel. To post a photo is easy. You click on the paperclip icon under where you type?. You can then take a photo with your phone or scroll through your photos to choose. Click on the photo you want, and it appears as if by magic.
Hope that's helpful, if not, just ignore me.?

Next years evening primrose? The tall ones are biennial. Smell lovely....but quite a messy plant

MiniMoon Sun 18-Aug-19 15:36:37

I wondered about sedum too jura. Also sempervivum too, some of which have tall flowers.

Fennel Sun 18-Aug-19 14:46:24

shysal yes it could be a kind of teasel.
I've looked it up and it says the flowers don't appear until the second year, as with ours. Maybe the flowers will turn lavender soon.
Teasel is useful in flower arrangements.
I've taken some photos and await the skill of DH.

jura2 Sun 18-Aug-19 13:26:03

sedum?

shysal Sun 18-Aug-19 13:25:06

Teasel?

midgey Sun 18-Aug-19 12:54:17

Oh Fennel, never admit that!

Fennel Sun 18-Aug-19 11:33:48

Thanks Ellan - it's similar, but in ours the 'flowers' are green. Up to now anyway - they might change.
I'll try to persuade husband to post a photo - it's beyond my internet skills.

Knapwort ?

Fennel Sun 18-Aug-19 10:01:40

Sorry no photo. In our front garden.
The plant starts as a rosette of large dark green fleshy leaves, Then several 2ft. tall stems, with many small thistle-like flowers with a green centre. But not prickly.
I think it was there last year, but only the leaves. I've searched online but could.t find it.
