Any suggestions for a plant for a memorial for a miscarriage. Something maybe evergreen and that would act as something to help a relative who recently had a miscarriage.

A Daphne shrub would be my choice. A small evergreen which has sweet-smelling flowers during the winter.

When my mother died I wanted to have something outside the church she attended and finally decided on things which would be in bloom on the anniversary. In her case helibores and early daffs.

Other than than that there are lots of roses with appropriate names - 'Peace' and ' Remembrance' for example.

Definitely something cheerful which flowers at the appropriate time. Most times of the year have something which will flower.

First priority would be to choose something that will thrive in her garden. She'll not enjoy a plant which struggles and dies. We've all seen leggy lavender and blackspot roses - so check what grows well in the area.

When my sister died, I decided to mark her birthday rather than the date of her death, so I buy something for the garden each year. My most successful and most loved plant to date, has been winter flowering jasmine.

It's yellow and it has spread right along the fence. Each winter when the garden looks quite stark, I have a wonderful display of yellow blossom all the way along my fence. It causes me to think of my sister often and to smile.

The plant rosemary is traditionally for remembrance.
Or as others have said something that flowers at the appropriate time of year.
Spring bulbs are no trouble to care for and come in lots of colours and some have scent too.
