Is it Jack by the hedge?

Looks a bit small to be Jack by the Hedge. I don't know the name but I think it's the same thing I am forever pulling up in my garden. It's either a weed or a wild flower, whichever you prefer.

It looks like bittercress - a weed.

You need to weed it out before the seed pods ripen. The pods ping open and the seeds go everywhere.

If it’s the same as I have in my garden, it’s very easy to pull up. I suspect it’s a weed/wild flower.

I have lots of this too. I looked up SpringyChicken ‘s suggestion- bittercress- and I think that’s what it is. Doesn’t pull up that easily.

It might be cleavers,( 'sticky willy '). I try to pull it out as Idislike the look of it in late summer.

Thanks all for replies. it is basically a weed that gets into every single pot so I just pull it out by hand. I was just wondering which weed it is and could not find my book which illustrated them all!

You're right Alexa, I just looked at cleavers! Seems to match.

So I will carry on pulling it out!
