Open Gardens

Our village usually has an Open Gardens weekend with people buying programmes allowing them entry to all gardens that are taking part.

All profits go to our local children's hospice.

Sadly, although we have all had lots of time to make our gardens lovely, there will be no opportunity to show them off. There is a push to still donate though.

So, I wondered if we could have a thread show pictures of our gardens - maybe with a bit of an introduction?

Different parts of our garden.We try and go for an easier life these days by having more shrubs/trees than perennials, it also gives colour at differing times of the year.
These pics are taken recently.

Monty told us last night that the Open Garden Scheme have virtual gardens to visit this year.

Considering I started this thread, I thought I'd better do some of ours.

Our house is a converted Victorian school so our garden is on the playground which was not broken up as well as it might have been and drainage is a problem especially as the soil is clay. Consequently, we have no grass but have 2 levels, both paved, with biggish beds.

Actually, people are often more interested in reminiscing about their school days than looking at the garden.
