I started this thread in Gardening Forum, but perhaps it should be somewhere else?

Does anyone use any birding apps to keep track of the birds noted in your garden or area?
I downloaded eBird, but it seems a bit awkward. I also downloaded Merlin bird ID app which is brilliant, but I don't think you can save sightings on it.

I have always enjoyed birds and am now determined to learn more about the ones in my area.

BirdNET is a good app. You activate it outside and it records the bird songs. You then save it in the app and it tells you what birds you have been listening to. Enjoy the birds! smile

I use an android app called Birds of Britain. It has a clip of their song as well as photo and description.

I have to rely on Tweet of the Day podcasts, being unable to see birds these days.

Chris Baines also has some lovely wildlife talks on the BBC
