Anyone know how to use a Lidl ‘self-watering’ herb pot?

I accidentally bought one of these in my local Lidl (actually just wanting an ordinary flower pot) and it must have the worst instructions I have ever seen on any product, including things from IKEA.
It’s one of these wick systems - can live without it but would love to know how to set it up. There’s a water reservoir in the bottom part (I get that) but then a loose wick, a complicated looking reservoir thing plus a water level monitor. Help!
