At the beginning of lockdown I realised I was fast running out of pots for my annuals and at that stage I couldn’t go to the shops so I fudged around found some plastic tubs up in my attic made holes in the bottom and a bit of any old paint I gad hanging around
Also a pair of the grandkids outgrown wellies for sweet peas and some pop bottles all with holes in the bottoms of course oh yes and shopping bags for my courgettes

Necessity is the Mother on invention as my Mum used to say!

Looks very nice smile

Thanks for the idea about the shopping bags for courgettes, BlueBelle.

The shopping bag looks really effective! Easy to move too. Does it drain itself or have you put holes in it?
Old wellies are always cute; I've seen them hanging on a fence but actually think yours standing in a pair look nicer.

This was an entry in a local walled garden, part of a scarecrow festival last August.

Sorry, lost the picture!

Oh good grief ?

I did put some holes in the bottom of the shopping bags but also used some of those canvass ones which don’t need holes as the material is holey if you get me V3ra

I love the wellies
Unfortunately we only have two pairs and I may need mine if it carries on raining.
The sweet peas are very impressive, ours are still tiny.

We still have no rain the ground is like rock and looking on the 14 days BBC forecast none is expected
