Hanging basket plants, advice please!

I've sometimes left them in the hanging baskets and see what survives. We do have a greenhouse and they were in there over the winter.
Fuschias usually survive and geraniums sometimes do.
They need very occasional watering and then repotting in the spring.
You could take cuttings at this time of year.

I keep pelargoniums going for years Phoenix as they are quite expensive to buy, no greenhouse but I put them on a wide ledge near the window in the shed.I put them away before any frosts, take off any flowers and leave them to be dry but give a little water now and again.In May, I bring them out, cut them down and feed them.
If you have to leave plants outside, it all depends on where you situate them and what kind of Winter we have.I did leave some plants in the porch over Winter, and they were fine.
I really think begonias need a greenhouse though.

The begonia survived, despite being just dumped (along with the entire contents of the basket) at the bottom of the garden!

Callistemon have never taken cuttings from these sort of plants before, any advice would be appreciated!

I collect the seed heads from pansies. They were particularly useful this year as I was shielded so not allowed out.

I'm going to pick some seed pods from my lovely perennial sweet peas soon as two friends have admired them.

We always take cuttings, Monty Don was demonstrating the other week so might be worth a catch up. Or google. It’s very straightforward.
