Unknown plant

I have a plant which is wonderful but don't know its name or how to look after it during winter.
It has small succulent type leaves and produces different coloured flowers all the time that are very pretty. It has made a complete carpet in one of my pots. I want to know whether I can take cuttings as well . Thank you friends.

It's a bit difficult without a photo Willow73, but, could it possibly be a Million Bells type plant?

Is it an outdoor or indoor plant? If it's a succulent, it's best to keep it fairly dry in winter.

Why not experiment with cuttings? Put some into light, sandy soil, leave others to dry out for a few days, then plant.

If it's Portulaca, you'd have to bring it indoors for the winter.

Willow73 there are a number of apps you can download, I use Plantnet, then take a photo of your plant and the app will hopefully identify it.

Could they be Mesembryanthemum (sp)?
If so, they are usually used as annuals, but cuttings would be worth trying.

Thank you for all your answers. I have found it!
Calibrachoa it is. I recommend this plant it has spread, flowered and lasted all summer! I have taken some cuttings, so fingers crossed!
