I have been given a dozen blue iris plants (corms?). Will they be happy in large pots? I have a small garden but could probably find a space for them. Do I need to feed them with anything in particular?

I don't really know but, as iris usually have rhizomes (rather than bulbs) that get longer as they grow, I'd imagine that they'd outgrow pots.

The small Iris Reticulata (they are blue) and Iris Histroides are small and should be fine in containers. They are bulbs.

Don’t sow them deep iris like the rhizomes towards the top of the soil

Do you know what type of irises they are? They will be fine in a pot, but some of them grow really tall, about 3 feet, so they will need staking.
