I’m looking for some good quality heavy duty gardening gauntlets for Mr. B. His poor arms are getting scratched to pieces. Any suggestions, preferably available on line?

I think the National Trust shop has some. I have their leather gardening gloves, they’ve lasted for years and are excellent.

Or perhaps the RHS shop?

I bought some long gauntlet gardening gloves from Amazon for £15.35 which are thorn proof. They have leather hands but synthetic gauntlet. I pruned roses and apple trees and got not a scratch and I have a skin that tears like tissue paper

I can’t get on with gauntlets, so I wear a fleece jacket and ordinary gardening gloves, the fleece is actually really good at protecting your arms from thorns and brambles. It’s a bit warm today though, I’ve had to come inside for some respite.

We have always found Briers gardening gloves and gauntlets excellent.

I use Benchmark. Lovely and warm as well.

I have welding 'sleeves', from the long river people...about £15... means you can wear your normal gloves for dexterity and your arms are completely protected.
