My Wisteria

Gorgeous! I LOVE wisteria and have seen some wonderful displays covering houses and this lovely wisteria arbour in Exeter (I'm not trying to outdo you, just thought you might like it). ?
I might see if I can get some for the house but it is shared garden so we'll have to see.
I hope yours grows strong and healthy and bigger every year!

What size pot is it in tanith? I’m desperate for a wisteria but honestly don’t have room in the garden

I planted a mini version in a pot on my tiny patio the variety is called Amethyst falls.

This variety is supposed to bloom in first year and not need pruning.

I now have new leaves appearing, and hopefully blooms will follow.

I also love wisteria

We have several, and they were beautiful till the wind wrecked them!
Only at their best for a couple of days!

Lovely pictures. I too really like wisteria but don't think I've got room for it.

Beautiful. Had no idea they could be grown to that size in a pot. ( I planted one in the ground last year. Honestly thought it had died over winter, don’t they look sorry for themselves. It now has leaves, so chuffed!)

It's not mine! It's in a park in Exeter and has probably taken decades to get like that. Just lovely to walk under.

These are houses in Notting Hill in London I used to drive past and be distracted several times a day.

I love Wisteria, also Jacaranda and Laburnums in full flower.
Bodnant gardens was a place I visited regularly to see the laburnum arches.

I agree tanith they are very distracting. There is something special about them, you can't take your eyes off them if you see them. ?

In a house we once lived in, there was a massive wisteria the length of the garden on an iron frame, we moved in winter, and had no idea what it was, so imagine out delight in spring, it must have been ancient, it was stunning.
When we sold the house, the new owners ripped it all out.

So upset, my lovely wisteria’s buds got damaged by the frost so no beautiful cascades of flowers for me this year. Oh well, next year ......

Our lovely wisteria suffered badly in all the frost and cold winds we have had here so it is a shadow of its former self. But last year was glorious so let's hope for next year ...
