I'm probably telling Grannies to suck eggs here but, because our plums keeping dropping off (no comments please ?) we have to watch out for the dog eating them if they dry out on the ground. They're not good for dogs as the stones contain cyanide and other toxins.

Despite a late frost my plum tree is laden but they are smaller, maybe they will ripen larger. Apples are also smaller

We had a bumper crop last year, absolutely none this year!
Too dry and cold in the spring?

Hardly dare reply now! ?
I only have small plums on one branch, everything else was caught by the cold snap.

I only have apple trees, but my husband said he feels the same way. (Ignore me)

Yes, they're very tiny and we have fewer than last year. BIL lost his crop due to that cold snap.

The plum tree is laden with ripe fruit, but this year a lot of the plums are smaller than usual.
Anyone else experienced this?
