I have just ordered some 'Art Deco' tubers from Farmer Gracy online - 10% discount if you use the code EARLYBIRD.

I have a bed about 12' x 4' and I am mass planting them there.

Hope they turn out as nice as they look in the photos.

Thanks Espee. I have just looked up gallery dahlias. They look perfect. I haven't heard of them before.

Nandalot - I suspect that the bedding dahlias are the same as the gallery ones.

Thanks to both of you thanks

Try bedding dahlias. We bought some for the first time last year and they were amazing. I planted them quite close and they bloomed all summer. They do not get too tall. They were so good that our gardener took photos to show to his other clients as he was so impressed!

Have a look at gallery dahlias. They are short with lots of flowers but may not be quite what you are looking for.

I have grown dahlias from tubers for a few years but they have grown too tall so I want to move them and replace them with more dahlias which are shorter. They were supposed to be 90cm but they were around four feet tall (whatever that is in cm's - 130?). The flowers were beautiful but the plants were as tall as me!

I am struggling to find a shorter dahlia. I am looking for anything other than orange or yellow. Preferably not a single flowered type.

Can anyone help with any suggestions?

Thanks
