Vegetables that grow in a coastal climate?

I’m new to gardening on the Northern California coast. I’d like to grow vegetables, outside in raised beds. I am working on a good wind block next to the beds, but we can’t avoid the coastal fog. I’m having trouble finding good resources for coastal gardening. Any ideas? Thanks!

Well in the U.K. the first that spring to mind would be brassicas.

They grow wild on the beach here and thrive. However, I suspect that our climate is very different to the climate where you live.

Ours is temperate and damp.
