Those little light seeds travel so well on a breeze that the plant has 'travelled' widely (using the road and rail network) from it's native Asia and Europe - to become the local pretty weed in many places.
The insects here love it - so I don't mind. Here, we have light and dark pink varieties, along with occasional white ones.
